Hello lovelies! Skincare is incredibly important – by shaking up my skincare routine and finding products that worked well for me, I managed to correct my skin type and change it from dry to normal! I’m always looking for new skincare products to try out. Fortunately, I was able to test out the Farmacy Perenial Picks Discovery Kit in today’s review!
Farmacy has released a four piece trial size kit – the Perenial Picks Discovery Kit – aimed at delivering youthful-looking skin, featuring a foaming exfoliating cream, a skin radiance serum, a renewing night treatment, and a lightweight day cream. The kit itself emphasizes the use of natural extracts to plump and hydrate the skin, while achieving a pretty and youthful glow! Keep reading for my thoughts on the kit…
Farmacy is a new brand that I have not heard much about, but have occasionally passed by in Sephora. Farmacy was created by Mark Veeder & Robert Beyfuss, who decided to create Farmacy in order to revitalize the dwindling farming community in upstate New York. The plants that are harvested are brought back to a labratory, where they are cold-pressed and specific ingredients and nutrients are extracted for their skincare products.
Unique farm-grown botanicals define Farmacy beauty, which fuses age-old wisdom with cutting-edge technologies to create irritant-free bioactive formulations for fresh, radiant skin.
The Farmacy Perenial Picks Discovery Kit contains four travel-sized items:
- 1.4 oz New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains
- 0.27 oz Invincible Root Cell Anti-Aging Serum
- 0.5 oz Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm
- 0.5 oz Rise N’ Shine Daily Moisture Lock
I think these types of discovery kits are great – it’s a fun way to test out the products for a lower price before committing to a full sized product. They’re also fantastic for travel!
Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains
First, let’s take a look at the New Day exfoliating grains! As you can see from the photos, this is a powder exfoliator! Super super handy for traveling – pour a little but of the powder into the palm of your hand, add a few drops of water, and mix it until it becomes a liquid/paste. Apply to face and apply more water as necessary! This exfoliator is super gentle on the skin, gently buffing away dead skin cells. It has no real noticeable scent, which makes it a fantastic choice for sensitive skin. A little goes a long way as well, so this will last you a good while!
Farmacy Invisible Root Cell Anti-Aging Serum
The website boasts that the Invincible Root Cell Anti-Aging Serum improves the skin’s natural hydration and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles, while also visibly firming and smoothing for a radiant, healthy-looking complexion. This translucent green liquid comes in a smooth plastic bootle with a dropper. The serum felt silky and hydrating on the skin, although I can’t really say much for the anti-aging properties. Like most youth-boosting products, you’ll have to use it for a continuous amount of time before noticing results. However, it did deliver a lovely boost of hydration to my face before sleeping! It does not have any noticeable scent.
Farmacy Night & Day Creams
The discovery set also included the Farmacy Rise N’ Shine Daily Moisture Lock as well as the Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm. Both claim to boost hydration and elasticity in the skin, as well as reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkes (after continuous use, I assume.)
The little bottles themselves feel heavy and luxurious. I love that they both have little wooden caps on top – really goes with the whole natural theme. Both come with a little stopper under the lid, which you can lift off to reveal the product underneath. The Rise N’ Shine Moisture Lock is a creamy, very light green moisturizer. It has a very light scent, but nothing too obtrusive, and it disappears upon application. It feels light and smoothing on the skin, and also works well as a base under makeup, and does not slip or slide around.
The night balm is a mossy green balm texture moisturizer. When I first saw this, I thought it was going to be sticky, but it’s actually quite smooth! It definitely applies thicker on the skin, and feels like a light veil of hydration across my face… kinda reminds me of a sleeping mask! Again, no strong scent.
Overall, these are quite nice day and night creams… my one qualm would be with the packaging… I hate dipping my fingers into little pots (especially now that I’ve started doing acrylic nails!) The little pots taper outwards as well, which means you really have to dig for the product once it goes down. I’m sure you could try using a little spatula or spoon to scoop it out, for a more sanitary option!

*I was provided the products for review from Brandbacker, but as always, this post is 100% my honest opinion!
