The Bachelorette Canada #TogetherWithTwoOceans!

Guesss what time it is? It’s time for my recap of The Bachelorette Canada! My mom decided to join me for the finale of The Bachelorette Canada. We used to watch the American Bachelor / Bachelorette all the time when I was in high school! Before starting, we had to polish off the rest of our bottle of Two Oceans Wine Shiraz, hehe. I’ve partnered with Two Oceans Wine to give you a full rundown on the finale, as well as my thoughts on the bachelors, the locations, and of course, the proposals! This post includes spoilers, so make sure you pour youself a glass of Two Oceans Wine (drink responsibly) and get caught up first~

Wine in one hand, and phone in the other… I’m sure you’ve all seen me live tweeting The Bachelorette Canada this season with #BacheloretteCA and #TogetherWithTwoOceans. If you missed it, be sure to read my first post on our girl’s night in! Two Oceans Wine was sending out bottles to some tweeters – what a lovely surprise!

Tonight, we’re drinking the Shiraz….

Colour: Bright, vibrant red.

Bouquet: Complex aromas of red berries with cloves and spice, hints of white pepper and a subtle vanilla background as a result of careful oaking.

Taste: Juicy and soft on the palate with red berry fruit flavours and spicy, peppery nuances. The tannins are soft and mouth-filling with a lingering spicy finish.

This wine is best paired with red meat, game, and pasta dishes! It has a complex depth of flavor that compliments food in the most wonderful way. You can find it here on LCBO for $9.99! Two Oceans Wine has a large selection of different wines. If you’re into whites, you should definitely pick up the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or the Moscato!

Let’s talk about what’s happened since my first post following the premiere of the Bachelorette Canada! During the first few episodes, my roommates and I were all for Team Kyle! The tall and handsome multimedia producer from Hamilton? Yes please!

Kyle dropped out fairly early in the race for Jasmine’s heart, so we shifted to team Kevin P. I was already kind of drawn to him at the beginning because there was something about him that just seemed so smooth, like he always knew what to say. He kind of reminds me of my boyfriend in terms of looks, so my opinion may be a bit biased. I just liked his confidence and the fact that he carried his little ukelele everywhere. Him and Jasmine had the saddest date ever during their one-on-one though, when they discussed their differences and what they were looking for in a relationship. I may or may not have shed a tear….

You can always count on snapchat to randomly sense a face when there isn’t one. Also it was essential to wear the snuggliest plush housecoat. Also please note and appreciate my subtle flush, I wish I wasn’t such a lightweight! This was just glass #2, hehe.

Over this past season, myself (as well as the rest of Canada) fell in love with Jasmine! She’s so sweet and genuine and relatable. I loved the little outtakes and bloopers during the #MenTellAll episode! I couldn’t imagine a more relatable Bachelorette. Also her hair is #goals – I’m totally inspired to grow my hair out to mermaid length again and go for a blonde ombre….. Hmmmm…..

The Final Two…

Anyway, we’re down to the final two – Mikhel, the charming aerospace engineer, VS Kevin AKA Captain Canada.

I was actually Team Mike *cough*, but after he got eliminated in the second to last rose ceremony, I switched over to Team Mikhel. Mikhel was just so sweet and lovely. His family was accepting and understanding, and they seemed to love Jasmine!

However….. it was Kevin that won Jasmine’s heart.

Queue me downing my glass of wine….

The proposal scene was absolutely gorgeous though. Flowy dress, beachy curls, pretty sunset, man in a suit! Kevin actually chose the wedding ring that I preferred – the layered oval one. It was gorgeous.

Wishing all the best to Jasmine and Kevin during their relationship! #CoupleGoals, they’re both so cute! I love the Bachelor and Bachelorette series because it’s fun to sit back and peer into someone’s love life, especially when it involves a group of hunky men. 😉 They make a sweet pair, just like Two Oceans Wine’s selection!

Thank you all for joining me during this season of Bachelorette Canada! I hope you all find your special someone. I’ll leave you with these derpy photos of me and Matt, it’s nice to know the final rose went to someone who is worth it! 🙂

Who were you rooting for – #TeamMikhel or #TeamKevin? What is your favourite type of wine? Who do you think should be the next Bachelor?

The proposal scene was definitely awesome! Wish I’d been drinking wine while watching but I only had water. 🙁 Thanks for the great recap.

It was so emotional! The wine probably didn’t help with the tears haha.

We don’t get to see The bachelor or bachelorette here in Ireland, however a night in on front of the TV with a bottle of wine sounds lovely.
