Ah spring! The snow is melting, the days are getting warmer, and…a flood of new beauty releases! I like adjusting my makeup and skincare regime to suit the changing weather, as I tend to veer away from heavier skincare and makeup. I’ve got a few fresh new Spring products to share with you today- both skincare and makeup! Let’s take a look đ
PAUL & JOE
Paul and Joe was one of those Japanese makeup brands that I saw featured back in the day, in magazines like CanCan and Popteen. Paul and Joe is dreamy and whimsical, with the most gorgeous packaging ever. Youâve probably already seen their famous cat lipsticks⌠I think they even had a tophat cat lipstick a while ago? Absolutely genius if you ask me.
Anyway, I have two items to share with you today. Well, more like four.
The cool thing about Paul and Joe products is that the makeup and the cases are sold separately. The cases have absolutely beautiful and creative designs, and there are new compacts and cases offered every season! Look at this blush case for example; itâs such a beautiful addition to my spring makeup bag. The blush insert fits right into the compact and is held in place with a magnet.
Speaking of the blush, look at the colours!! This compact features a bright pink with a hint of golden shimmer, as well as a slightly earthier nude brown shade. So far I have mainly been using more of the earthy shade because my makeup has been super natural, but I canât wait to dip into the brighter hue as the weather gets warmer. The pigmentation is fairly sheer but is buildable.
Now for the highlight⌠The cat lipstick! My first reaction was that this would make the perfect gift for the cat lady in your life. I mean⌠itâs absolutely perfect. Again, the lipstick itself and the case come sold separately, so you can choose your own shade to fit in the case of your choice.
This grey shade can be quite daunting, but donât be alarmed! This is one of those colour changing lipsticks that adjust to the pH levels of your lips. As a result, this colours appears as a medium pink on my lips. The formula is glossy and moisturizing and is such a wonderful spring colour, but doesnât have very long lasting power. I donât mind though because the colour is so pretty and I love the case design. đ
Luckily for us, Paul & Joe are available at Shopperâs Drug Mart and beautyBOUTIQUE.ca! I canât wait to build my Paul & Joe collection!
STILA
Beauty bloggers and makeup artists of Youtube have a lot to say about this wonderful product, and for good reason! Â The name directly implies how great the product is â magnificent metals. This isnât your everyday shimmery cream shadow, oh no. Itâs bold, itâs pigmented, and itâs glittery. Take a look at this swatch, isnât it gorgeous? It really makes me think of holiday glamor!
Iâve been seeing this product used a ton as the lid colour for a bold, glittery cut crease look. Now Iâve never really done a true cut crease before so hereâs my hand at it â please be nice! The satin shade, which is a silky cool-toned brown, is a beautiful shade to wear that pairs well with most neutral colours.

You guys all know how much I love Estee Lauder skincare â itâs honestly holy grail status and my mother and I use the products religiously. I have two new additions to my daily night time skincare regime.
ESTEE LAUDER
Advanced Night Repair Recovery Mask in Oil.
I absolutely love treating my skin. Clay masks? Yes! Sheet masks? Of course! Peel masks? Gimme!
But oil masks? OOoooooh! Hereâs one Iâve never heard before.
The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Recovery Mask in Oil is a ârevolutionary treatment for radiant, younger-looking skin.â Although anti-aging isnât really a priority for me right now, I love using masks and oils for the appearance of more radiant, hydrated skin (since dryness is one of my problem areas.) The oil itself contains potent antioxidants and skin fortifiers. You use it after serum or as the last step in your skincare routine. Although it is an oil, it doesnât feel sticky or oily (if that makes sense.) It absorbs into the skin and makes your face feel supple and bouncy.
My mom has also been using it and she loves it! She has oily skin and it doesnât cause her to feel any oilier, so this product isnât limited to those with dehydrated skin. If you do have dry-normal skin, I think youâll like this mask.
Estee Lauder Nutritious Eye Jelly
This arrived at just the right time because I just finished my Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel.
The packaging is super cute â it comes housed in a little red orb with a twist off lid, and contains an incredibly light and hydrating gel. My undereyes really need all the help they can get because theyâve gotten super dark after the past few weeks (sleepless nights, thanks undergrad. :P) The last thing I want to do in my night time skincare regime is cake my under eyes with a thick cream.
The great thing about this gel is that you literally need the smallest amount. Like just tap your finger tip on the top of the gel and thatâs enough for both of your eye contours. It absorbs very quickly and makes your skin feel refreshed.
These have all taken up spots in my daily makeup and skincare regime.
Have you tried any of these products? Which one are you excited to try out? đ
