Hello lovelies! I’m a huge fan of Disney movies – most recently I’ve developed a small obsession with the new live action Beauty and the Beast film (I’ve seen it 4 times!) But of course, I also love the classic cartoons as well, Minnie is one of my favourite characters. The Face Shop partnered up with Disney for their latest collection featuring Mickey Mouse, which I’m super excited to show you today. It includes lip tints, a palette, mascara, and eyeliner!
The Face Shop Disney Mickey Watery Lip Tint.
First, let’s take a look at my favourite part of any makeup collection – the lip products! This seems to be quite a lip heavy collection. The Face Shop Disney Mickey Watery Lip Tint* claims to provide a long lasting effect and leave your lips bright and vibrant with color. I got the shades Rose, Coral, and Pink.
The applicators have a polkadot design with a cute Mickey Mouse shaped lid. There is also a slanted doe foot applicator.
Pink is a cool toned, bubble-gum pink.
Coral is a bright orange-pink.
Rose is a warm-toned, tomato red.
I’m a big fan of lip tints at the moment. I am constantly applying lip products, usually balms or glosses at my desk because the office air is usually cold and dry. If a product isn’t long lasting though, it rubs off and my lips end up looking pale (which ain’t cute.)
I’ve been wearing the shade Rose quite a bit because it’s a fail safe natural looking red that I know will suit my makeup / skin tone.
I’ve been applying it in two ways. The first is a gradient effect, with a few dabs of color in the centre of the lips and then faded outwards for a more natural look. The second is just going full on for that bold bold color. The Watery Lip Tint looks much brighter on the applicator but applies with a more natural finish.
The consistency is like a watery cream and you have a few seconds to work with the product before it dries down and sets. It is not transfer proof, so I did experience a bit of smudging when I applied more of the product.
Find it here for C$10.

The Face Shop Disney Mickey Tinted Lip Balm
I’m not really one for potted lip products, but The Face Shop Disney Mickey Tinted Lip Balm* one is super cute! It’s a red jelly that applies sheerly to the lips. Compared to the Glossier cherry balm dot com (which I reviewed here,) it’s not nearly as pigmented but feels moisturizing nonetheless. I apply it with a small swab because I don’t like sticking my finger into pots.
My cousin basically snapped this up from me when she saw it, so I guess it appeals more to 16 year olds and collectors, haha! I used to be obsessed with little lip pots and I think the concept is really cute, especially the packaging.
This tinted lip balm comes in two shades, pink and red. You can find it here for C$17.
Tip: lightly dab the watery lip tiny and top with the balm for a glossy shine.
The Face Shop Disney Mickey Mono Pop Eyes Palette
I am so in love with this packaging! The Face Shop Disney Mickey Mono Pop Eyes* is an eye and lip/ palette that includes 5 neutral brown eyeshadow shades and 3 lip/cheek colours. The shadows are housed within a solid plastic case that clicks shut. It also comes with a sponge/brush applicator.
I really do like this palette, I feel like the shadows are nice (albeit a bit powdery), and the lip colours apply well. However, I wish there was a separator for the lip shades (such as a plastic cover) as the eyeshadow fallout sometimes sticks in the lip product.
You can find it here for C$25.
The Face Shop Disney Mickey All Proof Eye Kit
Housed inside The Face Shop Disney Mickey All Proof Eye Kit* super cute matte black tin is a set of super waterproof mascara and eyeliner. The claim to be resistant against water, sweat and oil for budge-proof, smudge proof eye makeup that lasts through water activities. Great for summer!
I can only wear waterproof mascaras because, for some reason, they are the only type of mascaras that can hold my straight lashes up in a curl. This mascara has a thick wand that thoroughly coats and extends the lashes.
The pencil is super black and stays put in the waterline. This one has a gel-crayon texture, which helps the product glide on easily! I find that these pencils are always a hit or a miss because sometimes they can feel hard or scratchy, but this one feels and applies very well.
