BRING THE HEAT
Summer launches always make me feel really happy because it’s a fun reminder that warm days are soon approaching. I’m ready to trade in our 6-month long winter for that warm weather, baby!
Today I’ve got some new bits from Estee Lauder to share with y’all. I love Estee Lauder’s summer releases! Especially their Bronze Goddess Line.
All I want to be is a Bronze Goddess! I used to be really tan as a kid but as I discovered ~the internet~ I spent all my days indoors and reverted back to my natural pale skin tone (lol)
I long to achieve that bronzey, glowy skin that is plastered all over my Instagram feed. One day I’ll get it. I’m going to try making an effort to tan a bit this summer, or try out some fake tanning products…
Anyway, what do we have here?
The Estee Lauder Summer 2018 Collection!
I’ll be introducing 4 new items to the collection today:
- Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee
- Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cooling Body Gelee
- Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess The Summer Look Palette
- Estee Lauder Pure Colour Envy Paint On Liquid Lipstick
Let's take a closer look...
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee
These photos are actual makeup porn omg…. LOOK AT IT! JUST LOOK AT IT!
Every single year, I waffled on whether or not to pick up the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelee…
And every year, I slept on the limited-edition release. And regretted it for the entire following year.
Coincidentally, I ended up with 2 this year! I received one from PR, but also spent my Shoppers Drug Mart points on one during last week’s Spend Your Points Event. So I can be EXTRA bronzey this year! 😀
The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess highlighter comes in one shade, Heat Wave. Temptalia describes it best – this highlighter is a bright, medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen.
The packaging is white and rose gold. Very pretty – it reminds me of a seashell. The packaging feels sturdy.
There is also quite an intense glittery gold overspray (which has an almost wet texture, but applies sheerly with larger chunks of glitter.) When I first swatched it I was quite alarmed because the overspray is quite sheer, but then I realized the actual highlighter is underneath lol…
If you want to get to the ultra-pigmented powder underneath, you’ll have to buff away the overspray. I’ve been using my fingers and dabbing it on my eyes for an intense glittery eyeshadow.
You can really build it up to get a true metallic highlight.
Compared to my pale skin tone, it applies quite gold and a bit dark, so I think it works beautifully as an eyeshadow. It would look frickin BEEYOOTIFULLL if you have a medium-dark skin tone.
I give this a 5/5. Definitely one of the prettiest makeup items I own.
Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess The Summer Look Palette
I have really been enjoying face palettes recently. They are so convenient in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work, or when I'm staying over at my boyfriend's house and don't want to bring a huge makeup bag.
This palette contains 6 eyeshadows and 2 face powders.
The eyeshadows include: A dark green, teal blue, espresso brown, hazy taupe, rose gold, and a matte white.
For the face, you'll find a bright pink blush and a natural champagne highlighter.
I swatched these eye shadows over the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I would recommend using a primer or some type of base product (cream shadow, concealer, etc) as these powders are quite fine, and have a soft, powdery and smooth texture.
The neutral shades are beautiful, and the blues are fun for summer! As a totally neutral eye gal, I love these colours! They're bright but still within my comfort zone.
As for the face shades - this blush is so pretty. It's one of those colours that makes your skin look so fresh and healthy. A perfect spring and summer shade!
The highlighter is very natural. If you like a metallic highlight, this is not for you. This is more for the girl who wants a bit of shine but nothing too noticeable. It has a bit of a powdery finish but provides a very pretty effect on the skin.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Cooling Body Gelee
Bronze Goddess is one of my favourite fragrances...ever! It just reminds me of summer in a bottle.
It's the perfect summer scent. It is the body gel version of the iconic Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent.
I like this body gel because in sinks in quickly, and although the gel doesn't last as long as the perfume, it's great if you want to wear a lighter version of the scent all over your body!
Amber. Coconut Milk. Sandalwood. Vanilla. Vetiver. Myrrh
Juicy Mandarin. Sicilian Bergamot. Lemon. Pulpy Orange
Tiare Flower. Jasmine. Magnolia Petals. Orange Flower Buds. Lavender
I'm in loooove with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent!
I actually bought this at The Bay after smelling the body gelee version. (Luckily for me, they were having a $10 off your $50+ Beauty purchase...too bad Sephora ) I've always loved the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance, and smelling the gelee just made me want it even more!
I recently finished my bottle of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and was looking for a new everyday perfume. Bronze Goddess is going to be my new signature scent!
It has the same scent as the Estee Lauder Cooling Body Gelee - very soft and summery.
It comes housed in an elegant glass bottle with a blue and copper cap.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint On Liquid Lipstick
I hope you all know how incredible Estee Lauder Lipsticks are. I own so many different colours and their formulas are some of my favourites - so smooth and pigmented! They also come in a huge range of colours and finishes.
I particularly like their matte shades because they don't feel drying on the lips.
This summer, they are introducing a range of liquid lipsticks called as part of their Pure Color Envy line~!
The colours range from neutral and brown-toned nude hues, to bright reds and oranges, to punchy purples, to eye catching metallic shades.
They also come in 3 different finishes: Vinyl, matte, and metallic. Estee Lauder says that each colour is matched with the best possible finish.
I think these are beautiful if you like wearing bold shades! But there are also fun takes on neutral shades (like the metallic finishes), that allows neutral lovers to get a little adventurous without venturing too far out of their comfort zone.
I also love the bright colours for the summer season. I have plans to match that bold and bright orange with an all black outfit sometime this summer. So sleek and chic!
