FAQ

When did you start blogging?
I started blogging back in 2009, constantly jumping across various blogging platforms. I finally settled back on blogger in 2010 and registered the domain lovelycomplex.net, inspired by one of my favourite manga, Love*Com! I am now self-hosted on WordPress through Siteground (which I highly recommend!)

What camera/lighting/editing software do you use?
Most of my recent blog photos are taken on the Canon G7X.
I film most sit-down videos on my Canon T3i; 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Out and about vlogs are filmed on my iPhone 6S or my Canon G7X. I edit all of my videos on Adobe Premiere CS6, and I edit my photos on Adobe Photoshop CS6. I also frequently do graphic design work on Adobe Illustrator CS6 as well! As for lighting, I use an umbrella lighting kit from Cowboy Studios.

Where are you based?
I am based in the GTA, in a big city just outside of Toronto! I’m very much a city girl, so you’ll usually find me lurking around downtown Toronto. I take every opportunity I can to travel, and I love blogging about my adventures!

Do you have a disclosure policy?
Yes! I am open to working with PR firms and sponsorships, but I always write an honest review. You can find my full policy here on the contact page!

How did you get into cosplay? Do you do tutorials?
I started cosplaying back in high school when I was about 14/15. I went to my first anime convention (Anime North) and fell in love! It seemed like an ideal creative outlet, combining my love for making things with my favourite fandoms and series. I make most of my costumes myself unless otherwise stated.
And yes, I do tutorials and convention reports! You can either find them on my youtube channel, or under the ‘cosplay’ tab.
