Boxing Day Beauty Haul | Sephora & BeautyBoutique

A little bit of Boxing Day beauty shopping…

I love Christmas, but I will admit, I do love looking at all the Boxing Day deals that come in following week. If 2016 was my year of discovering new makeup, then 2017 will be the year of skincare. I picked up a few of Sephora’s boxing day value sets with some Christmas giftcards, as well as some skincare and makeup bits from BeautyBoutique.

From BeautyBoutique:

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Space Cowboy
I looooove glitter. I’m nearing the end of my all-matte phase and need a bit of sparkle to brighten up the New Year. I picked up this UD eyeshadow after swatching it in store and wooowee it’s a gorgeous one! It doesn’t have much of a base colour (only the most subtle of taupe undertones), but looks beautiful when layered across other eyeshadows. A glistening wash of  fine shimmer.

Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner in Dark Force
I am always on the lookout for new liquid eyeliners, especially those that come in brown shades! I haven’t tried any from Urban Decay and decided to give it a go. This is a dark brown liner with subtle flecks of shimmer. The brush is very thin and loads up with product, which gives great control over the precision and thickness of your wing.

Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm
I mentioned this in my BeautyBoutique Holiday launches post (which you can read here), but I had to mention it again because I’m in love! It’s been keeping dry lips at bay. I love the waxy, slightly stick consistency and I always put on a thick layer in the morning and before I go to bed.

Avène Eau Thermale Regulating Deodorant
I’ve been meaning to find a deodorant that doesn’t contain aluminum! I didn’t realize until recently that almost all female anti-perspirants contain aluminum salts, which apparently are super bad for you. This one from Avène does not contain aluminum or alcohol. It comes in roll-on packaging and has a soft, pleasant scent.

Aaaand the Sephora bits…

Sephora always releases a few mini boxing day value sets for $15 CAD. Protip: check the website at midnight because by the time the email alert goes out, most items are usually out of stock!

Boscia Tsubaki Deep Hydration Travel Essentials
Boscia is a brand that I’ve been meaning to try out for some time now. The value for this kit was great – for  $15, you got a gel cleanser, a konjac sponge, and a beauty oil! I regret not picking up two because I absolutely love everything in this kit. The cleanser  and sponge gently buff the skin, and the oil sinks in quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. I will likely be picking up a full size of the Tsubaki Beauty oil when I run out of this one!

Shiseido Beauty Booster Set
I got this set simply for the lipstick, not so much the skincare… Not that it would have mattered anyway, because the skincare bits are miniscule. I got the orange shade, Tigre, and I love it! The lipstick is smooth and opague, with a lovely satin finish. The packaging is plastic, but feels sturdy and luxe. This yellowtoned orange is quickly becoming my go-to shade, and I’m sure I’ll be wearing it non stop in the spring and summer months!

Isn’t it a gorgeous colour? I’m in looooo0o0o0o0o0o0o0ve!!

Kate Sommerville Cleanse & Exfoliate Duo
I didn’t really know anything about these products other than 1) they’re hella expensive, and 2) all of the beauty gurus I watch on youtube seem to love these products! Both were $15 and I figured I’d try them out now to see what all the hype was about. Haven’t opened these yet (too many cleansers/moisturizers to get through first!)

REN Glow & Go duo

This was actually a gift from a friend! It’s currently retailing for $18 on the Sephora website though (on sale.) I’m a wee bit obsessed with face masks at the moment and I’ve heard great things about the Glycol Lactic face mask, something about it being Beyonce’s secret to glowing skin? Either way it’s a lovely, thick mask to wear and it definitely makes your skin look brighter after use.

Here’s a look I did with some of the eye products – you can really see how irridescent the eyeshadow is! I love it and have been wearing it nonstop!

I did a cheeky Sephora order for some Boscia masky bits, which I’ll blog about later this week when it arrives! 😀

Did you pick up any of the Sephora sets? Have you tried any of the products above?

Thanks for reading! x

Such a great haul! I’m especially keen on finding the Avène deodorant because my skin is super sensitive (especially my armpits for some reason?) but Avène usually really works for me! Also, super jealous you managed to get your hands on so many great Sephora deals because by the time I checked there was nothing left!

I stayed up til 3am when the midnight PST deals went up hahaha, I missed out on most of the kits last year so I wanted to be sure I got in on it! 🙂 The avene deodorant is really nice, highly recommend picking it up. I’ve seen it on sale at shoppers a few times so you can probably wait til they have an offer on it!

Great choices! I actually recently acquired the ud razor sharp in black and like it too! I find my hand is a bit unsteady though so I need a bit more practice to get a sharp line.

It is quite liquidy but it’s really nice once you get the hang of it! 😀

I just repurchased my second tub of the Rêve de Miel lip balm today (and I had to go to five Shoppers to find it, ahh). I used my first one every day for a year straight and it is the BEST! Totally worth the price for something so good that lasted me a full year.

That Shiseido lipstick looks so pretty, I bet it will look great on you!
