LUSH Rosy Cheeks + Don’t Look At Me | Face Mask Reviews

Helloooo lovelies!

I’m a lush fiend. Every time I walk past a LUSH store in a mall, I’m drawn in by all the pretty soaps and that strong fragrance that seems to warn you that the shop is quickly approaching. I like to treat myself to a Lush face mask about once a month… After discovering that their BB Seaweed face mask helped calm my acne, I’ve been hooked! I typically like to pick up BB Seaweed or Love Lettuce, as my skin seems to like them, and they’ve got a pleasant fragrance/texture.

However, when I popped into Lush the other day, I noticed two new face masks! I looked these up after and according to a few reviews, they were Oxford Street exclusives. I guess they’ve released them in North America!

The first was their Rosy Cheeks Face Mask. Pink? Rose Scented? Insta-buy!

My only disappointment was that there was hardly any product in the pot. I know its only 60g per container, but after looking after other people’s reviews, mine looks particularly empty! Hardly half of the pot! 🙁

Rosy Cheeks is a thick, clay based face mask. It’s very thick, and a little goes a long way. It’s a little dry, similar to Oatifix. Once you rub it into your face, the mixture warms up and it becomes easier to spread!

In my opinion, Rosy Cheeks has the truest rose scent out of their various rose products. It’s got a scent that is very similar to my Chloe by Chloe perfume, so lovely. Rosy cheeks is supposed to calm and soothe rosy cheeks. As someone who experiences some facial redness (on a regular basis, not including shoujo blush), this is a godsend!

I have yet to notice any difference in the redness in my face, but it does smell very nice and I’m absolutely in love with that rose scent. It does make my face feel soft afterwards! If you’re a big rose fan like myself, I highly recommend this.

I never see reviews of people wearing the masks in reviews so I thought I’d pop this in, lol. And yes, I was taking a bath! Best time to relax with a face mask. 😀 It’s a very light pink colour. (Also yay, my brows are growing in!!)

Only downside is that it’s almost double the price of their regular face masks. 60g retails for $12.95. It is only available in store at the moment. Not sure if this is a limited edition product or not. I love this mask, so it’ll likely become a special treat 🙂

The other face mask that I picked up was the Don’t Look At Me face mask,

This mask is probably the complete opposite to Rosy Cheeks! Don’t Look At Me  is a cleansing, scrubby face mask. It’s most striking feature is the bright blue colour! Compared to Rosy Cheeks, it’s very liquidy and has exfoliating properties. It has an invigorating cittrus scent!

Don’t Look At Me contains “ground rice to gently scrub away dry skin, murumuru butter moisturizes and zingy lemon juice tones.” I like this mask. It reminds me of a wetter, citrusy, and bright blue version of Love Lettuce! Very refreshing…more of a mask I’d wear in the mornings or before going out for a special event or something!

I can see why they call this mas, “Don’t look at me!” haha!! Again, this mask costs more than the regular masks at Lush. This retails at $10.95 for 60g! The lemon scent is quite strong. I like the texture – its exfoliating but not harsh. A nice treat but I think I’ll stick to my Love Lettuce, just because its about $4 more!

Overall, both masks are lovely, and I’ll likely repurchase in the future!

Have you tried these masks? What are some of your favourite Lush products? Have you tried any of their face masks before?

Thanks for reading!

Bison Bath Salt Roundup

Hello lovelies!

I am the bath queen. I’m perfectly happy sitting in a hot bath for a few hours, gradually turning into a prune. I love bath products, from lush bombs and melts, to bath and body works, to japanese bath salts.

I’m in love with Bison bath salts. I’ve been using them forever (as you can probably note from the previous posts I’ve done, dating back to 2012! They’re sweat bath powders/salts that contain hot pepper, ginger, and epsom salt combined with carbon dioxide to create a sweat-inducing and water-crackling bath experience! The salts also contain a heating and thickening agent that causes the water to become slightly thicker/slimy. It’s a really pleasant feeling and bison makes some of my favourite bath products.

I have 3 salts to share with you today!

“Soda flavour” bath salt. Smells like sweet soda, or ramune soda! Milky white powder that does not change color in the bath. Turns the water a milky white colour! It has a very fresh scent and has a very sweet scent.

Love the smell of these bath salts. Makes me feel relaxed and my skin feels more moisturized! Also produces a good amount of steam.

Next up, the “hot citron flavour”  bath salt! Lovely citrusy scent, quite lemony.
The powder starts off as being pink with clear crystals, but turns orange when it hits the water! Super cool! The crystals are like little bath pop-rocks and make crackling noises when in the bath. Strong citrus scent is refreshing!

Finally, the “ginger soda flavor” bath salt pack. (My hand looks super red/purple/super freaky but its just because I was stirring the hot bath water heheheeeeee) Bath salts are a light orange/red color with yellow and clear crystals.

The bath powder turns yellow/orange when hitting the water. Not so much of a ginger scent, but definitely a noticeable soda/citron scent.

Finally, Bison’s Ginger Cola flavoured bath. A reallllly weird combination imo. I know it’s a sweath bath and ginger is supposed to help with it but…why cola..?

Powder is an orange/red color with clear and yellow crystals!

When it hits the water, it turns a brown color. I snapchatted my friend (add me – lovelyghost!) and said it looked like someone had thrown dirt in the bath. A less polite friend said it looked like someone crapped in the bath. Brown color was an immediate turnoff…….

Didn’t notice much of a steam effect or extra moisturization. I was totally thrown on the scent – cola with a weird side tinge of ginger? Doesn’t go together in my opinion, so this was a miss for me. The previous ginger-soda scent was much nicer…

Those are my thoughts on the bison bath salts I recently tried out! I’ll probably have a part 2 coming out after I go pick up a few more. There are a few more varieties I’d like to check out!

Have you tried bison bath salts before? What are your favourite kinds of bath products?

[REVIEW] Petite Cherry Lingerie

Hello lovelies!

A while ago, Petite Cherry (formerly Kaur’s Laurel) contacted me about reviewing some of  their new pieces from their store! Petite Cherry is a cute lingerie store inspired by Asian fashion! I believe they are also operated by the same company that runs Eyecandys Circle Lenses.

I have to sets for review today. I was sent  two pairs, and the reviews are my 100% honest opinion,

Tarte Goodies

Hello lovelies!

Little makeup update for you. I got these tarte goodies in a recent Sephora order with a friend! Here’s a tip: if you ever want to order something from Sephora, do it with a friend! Free tracked shipping over $75, and you get a ton of site-exclusive samples that aren’t offered in store. My friend isn’t a frequent makeup buyer so her purchase added to my Beauty Insider points 😀

Anyway, sad news was last week, my second Kat Von D powder compact (still a baby – new and only a few weeks old) did a suicide jump from my purse one night after getting a ride back home in the evening. It was dark, I was searching around my bag for my keys, and suddenly my purse flipped upside down and the compact fell. Popped clean out of the pan and shattered all over the concrete porch. SUCH A SAD DAY. To top it off, it rained really hard the next day and washed everything away. $50 literally down the drain. :(((((

Anyway, summer is coming up and I thought it might be the time to switch to something a little bit lighter! The day after “the shattering’, my friend and I placed an order for some new makeup goodies. I have combination type skin and after a little bit of research, found out that Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Powder Foundation was a recommended choice by bloggers and beauty gurus alike. It claims to have medium to full coverage, sits lightly on the skin but lasts for a long time, and its mineral properties are better for the skin. Sounds good to me, especially since the Kat Von D powder (which I briefly reviewed here) was more on the heavier side.

I’m in love with Tarte’s packaging! I love the whole bamboo look, very sleek and pretty! The makeup itself encased under a mesh stocking cover to prevent spillage, which is great because I have a tendency to use way too much powder and cake my face up. It also has a plastic stopper built into the lid that presses down on the mesh when you close it, making sure that no powder flies out or moves around.

I use the shade ‘fair honey’, which is suited for fair skin with peach undertones. I debated between this shade and the second lightest shade, but this one suited my perfectly. The powder comes with it’s own brush but I didn’t feel like spending an extra $34 on it when I have a little stash of Real Technique brushes at home.

I really like this powder – it suits my skin very nicely and it builds up to have a very flawless finish without caking up or feeling heavy. I’ve been using it every day for the past week or so and it wears very well. My face tends to get oily after a while but this powder kept my face under control! It’s a bit on the pricey side ($44, which is about the same as what I paid for the Kat Von D powder and that was totally worth it.)

The other thing I picked up was the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette! I tried looking for the link on Sephora but it seems to have been taken offline (“out of stock”) since it was limited edition…which leads me to wonder if I ordered the last one? WOO YAY! 😀

Tarte does it again with their gorgeous packaging! This one features a wood base design with a foil gold snake. The snake has a little purple gem on its head…very pretty.

Let me just say that my attempts at color correcting were not that great. Should have taken photos against a white backround but I thought the grass was a nice touch at the time. For more accurate palette color, reference the Tarte website.

I ordered this as a little graduation gift for myself! After seeing it in stores but never buying it due to it constantly being out of stock, I finally gave in and ordered it online! I bought this palette for several reasons –

  1. It has a really nice selection of colours – some mattes and some shimmers.
  2. It’s a 4 in one product – eyeshadows, highlighter, bronzer, and blush,
  3. It’s easy and compact to travel with, which is great for vacations or conventions because less makeup to carry around.
  4. It has a really big and convenient mirror!

I was kind of fed up carrying so many separate bulky products when I went to conventions. Unfortunately some of my nice makeup (and an iPhone cable) went missing when I stayed in my hotel at Anime North ( >_>), so I figured the less bits and bobs to keep track of, the better. This palette has colors that I love using, and can create a wide variety of looks.

Pink toned colors. Features a satin champagne highligter, a matte pink toned beige, a satiny mauve, and a satiny plum/ dark purple shade, Unleashed is a dusty nude rose which I was unsure about at first, but fell in love with upon application.

The other side of the palette features warm brown colors: a gold shimmer, a matte brown, a cool toned ‘espresso’ brown shade, and a bronzer which is very similar to the NYC sunny bronzer that I’ve used forever.
Absolutely in love with this palette, definitely one of my favourites and I’m glad I got it before it ran out of stock! You can still order it from the Tarte website!
What do you think about this palette? Do you own any Tarte products? Are there any you would like to try out? Let me know in the comments below!

OOTD Adore Me!

Heya lovelies!

A little while ago, Adore Me sent me and email and asked me if I’d like to do a little haul with them! Although they sent these to me, all opinions are my own! 😀

Lingerie was always a bit of a weird topic for me, since I’ve never really spoken much about undies or loungewear on my blog or youtube and although my audience is mostly female, I’ve got a male audience that sometimes gets weirded out lol. I’m a big fan of lingerie and pretty nightwear, or just pretty clothes in general! Wearing pretty undies (especially when they match) is a total confidence booster! 😀

Anyway yes, getting back to the topic. Adore Me is a super cute lingerie website that has a wide selection of styles and fits, with collections ranging from swimwear, lingerie, corsets, and nightwear! I chose two items – a bra/pantsu set and a nightdress/romper thing.

I thought it would be fun to put the first together in a little OOTD! I wore this on Friday 😀

shoes: TOPSHOP | sweater: OLD NAVY | bra/panties: ADORE ME* | leggings: ZARA

The sweater is actually from my friend mle, we did a little clothing swap the last time we met up and it’s really cozy and oversized! I’ve been wearing my Zara leggings/ topshop shoes quite often now because they’re very ~effortlessly chic~, I love the combination of black and gold.

It’s a nice pop of color under all that black and grey, hehe. The Summer Bra is a pushup bra that’s adorned with some pretty lace. It’s a bright coral color, perfect for summer! The undies are also very lacy – this is their ‘hipster’ style, so it has a bit more bum coverage~
romper: Adore Me*
Next up is this romper! I’m always a bit skeptical when I have to order rompers/dresses online, just because I’m a bout 5’10 and have a really long torso. I was afraid the M wasn’t going to fit me, but it does! It’s a very soft, stretchy material. Pretty sexy and very comfortable to sleep in! 😀
Pretty flowery lace on the torso area!! There’s something very sensual and mysterious about black lace, because you can see just enough but still hide away 😉
What are your thoughts on these styles? I really like them – the color of the bra is really nice and not something that I would usually go for, but it’s a nice change for summer! And the romper is super comfortable!
You can find them here:
They also have a promotion going on where you can join their monthly VIP membership and get your first set for $24.95 – just click here~ They update new collections and styles every month so there’s always new collections.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy these fashion posts! Please look forward to more in the future 😀

[review] Ipsy – November 2014

Hello lovelies!
I’m back on the beauty subscription train! I used to have an ipsy subscription back when it was MyGlam but then cancelled it after the products got boring. I can’t remember what was being offered, but something a few months ago caught my eye and I reactivated my subscription! It’s been worth it because every month I’ve received something awesome! 😀
I’ll try doing monthly reviews of these bags again to get back into frequent posting so I hope you guys are looking forward to more beauty posts!

This month’s theme was “Girl Meets Glitter”, although I didn’t really receive any glittery products lol! The eyeliner is kinda metallic? If anything the makeup bag is glittery, but I don’t really use the makeup bags anyway….

Anyway, here’s what I received this month! I really like this month’s bag because I’ve used everything so far! 😀

 The items I received:

Marc Anthony Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray
IT Cosmetics – Bye Bye Under Eye in Medium Neutral
SeaRx Skincare Lotion
J.Cat Wonder Lip Paint in Mad Splatter
Gem Eye Pencil in Ultra Olive

Starting off with the hairspray! I don’t really use much hairspray in general because I have very thick hair and I usually use hair oil to smooth down my hair. I do use hairspray on my wigs though to keep them in place when I’m cosplaying! The travel size is great because it will come in handy at cons. 😀

The body lotion is in a tiny tube and has a creamy citrus smell! I really like it. There is such a small amount in the tube so I haven’t really been able to see any difference in my skin.

The gem eye pencil – I have soooo many eyeliner pencils (hoarding freebies lol) , so it’s nice to finally have one in a different colour! This is an olive colour however it’s more on the brown/gold side than green. It’s a lovely colour for fall. It’s also very soft and pigmented which is lovely because I’ve used a ton of different pencils and sometimes the coloured ones can be quite hard and difficult to draw with.

Here are some swatches! Some subtle glitter, nothing too crazy. Appears to be almost brown in most lighting I think, so it’ll definitely work well with other eyeshadow colours!

Next – J.Cat Wonder Lip paint! It comes in a small tube. I’ve read that these are dupes/ are comparable to the OCC lip tars, but I’ve never tried them before so I can’t say if that’s true or not! I got the shade ‘Mad Splatter’ which is a rosy pinky colour. I tend to veer more towards red/orange based lip products because pinks can sometimes look weird on my skin tone (esp if they’re blue-based), but this one works nicely!

It’s got a hint of glitter in it! Very tiny glitter bits though, nothing super noticeable!!

I like to apply this by taking a little bit and patting it on my lips with my fingers. I like more of a faded/gradient look. This can be layered up though if you’d like a bolder lip / brighter colour!

Aaaand finally, the ~big~ special item in this month’s ipsy bag! This is the IT Cosmetics concealer which is supposed to be a ~cult classic~. (I’ve never heard of the brand before though haha.) It’s a very thick concealer though, and comes in this tiiiiiny tube! (SD card for comparison!)

I have craaaazy under eye circles (staying up and either watching youtube videos or crunchyroll into the wee hours of the night lol), so I was looking for a new concealer! I really like this concealer, it does a great job of masking my eyebags! It’s super pigmented and you only need the tiniest amount because a little goes a long way!

I received it in the ‘neutral medium’ shade and I was a bit worried because my skin is quite pale and I usually have to have either the lightest or 2nd lightest shade for most brands that I’ve tried. It matches my skin nicely though. I’ll finish the rest of this tube and decide whether I want to invest in the full sized product!

Hope this was helpful! If you’re interested in signing up and trying out these products then you can check it out here! 😀

Are there any products you’re curious about/ want to try out?

[review] GEO Puffy 3-Tone Green / Peroxi Clear Solution

Heya lovelies!
Here’s a review for you guys! I recently went and tossed out over half of my circle lens collection because they were approaching their expiry dates! I usually keep lenses for 6-8 months before replacing them. I have a few pairs that I wear quite regularly because I like how they look and wear them often in videos.
The GEO Shinny (now known as Puffy 3-Tone) are my favourite style of circle lenses. I’ve tried out the pink, blue, and grey colours and I love how they look! (I’ve gone through 3 pairs of pink, and one of grey / blue). I had to throw out my recent pair of pink and my grey ones were tearing at the side so I decided to try out a new colour! I’ll be cosplaying Sailor Jupiter and Noire from Fire Emblem soon so that means…green eyes! I hardly ever wear green lenses because I didn’t think it suited me, but I really like how these look on me! :0
I bought these from LoveShoppingholics ($23.90 USD)! I’ve checked on a few sites and most major ones (Candylens, PinkyParadise) sell them. They all generally go for the same price.

My lenses were packaged in a bubblewrap mailer. Everything came contained in a cute plastic bag. This included: pouch with lenses/lens case, a thank you letter, and two freebies! Hair velcros (great for holding bangs/hair out of face while doing makeup), and a collagen eye mask.

Lens bottles and a cute hippo lens case! These lenses are cute, but over years of using them I’ve found that they tend to loosen up and leak quite easily. If you go to a lot of cons/travel with lenses often, I’d recommend to invest in a different case that closes tightly! I tried out a cool new type of lens case which I’ll review later in this post! 😀

I wear plano which are just the clear 0.00 degree lenses!

Here’s what the lenses look like! These lenses are on the larger side. They are 15mm lenses, and feature 3 different tones – a dark outer green ring, a jade green middle, and a light green/yellow centre.

This is how the lenses appear on my eyes, which are a medium-light brown. The lenses do a great job of covering up your natural eye colour! I also like how the outer ring isn’t a solid black, so they look natural but allow you to achieve superkawaii massive shoujo manga eyes at the same time! 😀

Here’s a comparison shot!! The first picture shows one lens in and one without – as you can see, they are very enlarging! They are also quite bright as these were shot in regular indoor lighting,

Here’s what the lenses are like with makeup on! Should have tightlined….orz!! I’m thinking of making another eye makeup tutorial because my last one seemed quite popular! Check out my last tutorial for eyebrows + eye enlarging makeup!

All in all, I love these lenses! I’ll probably be ordering the brown and violet ones soon. 😀 I’ll do another review soon!

I also ran out of lens solution, so I stopped off at Loblaws I mean Great Canadian Superstore and was going to pick up the usual Bausch+Lomb ReNu lens solution…but this one was on sale! Hooray for introductory offers! I love trying out new products so I figured why not. (It was also like $10 cheaper than the ReNu kit so my wallet won out haha!!)

So this new lens solution claims to be a new revolutionary type of lens cleaning solution + disinfectant that will fully clean your lenses in 4 hours. The solution foams up and apparently the bubbles are supposed to help to fully eliminate germs. Sounds promising! It also came with this weird basket type contact case which I’ve never seen before?

Basically you unscrew the “basket” and full the container up to a line with lens solution. You open the basket compartment and put the lens inside and close the lids. Then you reinsert it into the container. In order to take the lenses out, you take out the basket and the lens will stick to the top of the lid for easier removal! 😀 I really like this because it saves having to claw around for the lens (getting dirt in the solution, potentially tearing lens, dropping lens etc.) I’m thinking of buying more of these and replacing all of my cases haha.

Would you like to see more reviews of lenses or certain products? Let me know! 😀

lil makeup haul

Hiiiiii lovelies,

I’m going to straight up admit that I have a makeup addiction. (I blame Boots/Superdrug on my exchange with all of their 3 for 2 sales even though makeup was like double the price lol.) A small beauty outlet near my house was going out of business. I happened to pass by one day while I was thrifting and picked up a few things for super cheap!

Bought these 3 things for about $10!! Pretty good considering it would normally cost maybe $25 in total at Walmart or something.

I can usually find a way to justify buying new makeup. Needed new mascara because my current one (mini Benefit They’re Real’ sample that I got with a magazine or something) is running out. Wanted to try the Baby Skin primer but didn’t want to pay the $10 for it because I have a mini Benefit Porefessional sample (also from a magazine, do you see my problem) that I’m still getting through. I can always justify a shimmery champagne eyeshadow because it’s what I wear every day.

I really like this eyeshadow pot! I’ve never tried any of Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo line but I’ve heard some pretty good things about it! I got this eyeshadow pot in the colour 55 Barely Brazen, It’s a super shimmery nude/champagne colour. I usually wear it to set my Bourjois Shimmer Shine cream eyeshadow in beige metallique. Very pigmented, I like it.

As I said before, I picked this up solely because it was on sale ($4 as opposed to $10). It’s a clear primer that aims to hide/minimize pores and grant the look of soft baby skin. I haven’t used this on my entire face yet, just on my cheeks and on the sides/around my nose. I don’t really know if it’s helping my makeup stay on properly but I guess I’ll test it out some more.

I swear, this mascara is super hyped up. I watch a ton of beauty gurus on youtube and all of them (especially my favourite, Ingrid/MissGlamorazzi) swears by it. When I saw this on sale, I figured there must be some proof behind the hype!!

Kinda disapointed when I saw the brush. I was kinda expecting something with longer bristles at least? I guess in my mind, I was expecting it to be like the Benefit They’re Real mascara. I got the waterproof formula which I never really buy since it’s such a hastle to take off!

I’m not sure if it’s because I have straight asian eyelashes or if the formula is too wet, but it doesn’t work as well on me as it does on others I guess. Didn’t really hold curl, made my lashes a little longer but nothing amazing. Oh well, just gonna use this up and then go back to Benefit or L’Oreal!

Glad I didn’t end up spending a ton of money on this – this haul is an alright sacrifice for $10. At least the eyeshadow is nice!

Have you tried any of these? Do they work on you?
Any recommendations for other mascaras/primers would be appreciated as well!

The Works @ Hamilton

Hiya lovelies!

This past Sunday, I was in Hamilton for Con Bravo! A very last minute decision to check out the small convention. I’ve heard some pretty good reviews of it, so a few friends and I drove down to hang out! Didn’t cosplay though.

Since there wasn’t much to do at the convention (everything was being packed away since it was the last day of the con), we decided to wander around. Went out to grab lunch at Jackson Square. Decided to check out The Works – a gourmet burger join that had some great reviews!

[review] stila positively pink set

Hello lovelies!

A few weeks ago, I ordered Stila’s Positively Pink set! It was a charity set for breast cancer awareness! It comes with a blush and a lip glaze! It was on sale for £3.50 (or something around that, can’t remember the exact price) on the website with free shipping! With a steal like that (especially for Stila), I couldn’t resist!

Positively Pink Cheek Palette
A slightly peachy, pink blush with an embossed breast cancer ribbon design. There are two ribbons that have a slightly pink, champagne spray over which adds a little shimmer to the blush colour!

Lip Glaze in Splendor
I’ve never really tried Stila’s lip glazes before so I didn’t really know what to expect. The gloss is super sticky, but it sticks to your lips and doesn’t move. I like that kind of feeling on a gloss! It is  light pink and very shimmery, very cute! It would probably look nicer over a lipstick or stain to add a lovely shimmer over a rosiser shade!

I’m glad I managed to snag this set! A higher end brand set for less than most individual drug store makeup products! Sometime it pays off to follow hundreds of beauty blogs 😉

I’ll be doing a make up tutorial with these products soon, stay tuned!

[review] candylens

Hiya lovelies!

Got some lovely lenses from Candylens to review today! Shipping took about a week to arrive from Malaysia to England. (I think that was about the same time it took to arrive in Canada as well?)  Anyway, communication was great, they replied fast to all of my emails, and answered any questions that I had! When a store has great customer service, it makes a great impression and makes me recommend them to my friends! 😀

Let’s take a look at the lenses, shall we?

Vassen Latte Gray
Seriously loving these lenses. Although the websites states that they are 14.5mm, they give the illusion of being around 16mm. Definitely the most enlarging lenses that I own! They give a super dolly-eyed look. They are grey, with flecks of brown. Has a dark, medium size limbal (outer) ring.

Although the colour is ‘gray’, they appear to be brown on my eyes (the gray isn’t really that noticeable). However, if you have lighter blue/green/grey eyes, these will show up as being gray with a hint of brown!

The design really reminds me of GEO Cafe Mimi series in Macchiato…except being a gray version! Since this design is called ‘Latte’, I’m guessing that it is based on the Cafe series haha…

The appearance is quite natural, despite the fact that they enlarge your eyes like crazy!

Vassen Cloud Nine Blue
These lenses are very POW in-your-face blue! Super bright. They are bright cerulean blue, with flecks of pale blue. They also have a very thick black outer ring.

 Macaron case!

These are not natural at all, but would be great for cosplay! Since they are mainly a solid colour with very little blending of the two colours, they really help to achieve a dolly-eyed look. They are 14.5mm, but I feel like they have a 15mm effect.

Both of these lenses are great because they didn’t make my eyes feel dry or irritated! I haven’t really tried out many Vassen lenses, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!

If you’re interested in these lenses, you can find them (and many more designs/colours) over at CandyLens!

first uk beauty haul/review

Heyo lovelies~

Now that I’ve been in the UK for a few weeks, it’s only natural that I delve into the world of ~beauty products that I can’t find in Canada~… Meaning, I’ve been trying out a few items that I have not seen back home! I left a bunch of beauty essentials at home, things that I could easily just buy here! (Moisturizer, shampoo…etc.)

I didn’t buy these all at once, but rather over the span of the past three weeks!

First – my makeup purchases! One of the first makeup products that I wanted to try out while in the UK was the Bourjois line. I don’t believe we have this back in Canada? I’ve heard so many beauty gurus/bloggers rave about this brand – especially the Healthy Mix Serum gel foundation.

It claims to have “16 hour radiance” but really, who would want to wear foundation for 16 hours? Haha! It’s a light-medium cover foundation and has a light, gel texture. It smells like apricots! I know many people don’t like scented products, but this scent isn’t overpowering. It lingers for a few minutes and they disappears. Super easy to blend (I love blending it with my Real Techniques buffing brush ahh!) My shade is 52 Vanilla.

This was also on a buy one get one half price deal, so I randomly picked up this Delice de Poudre bronzing powder (which I’m kind of regretting because I already have my NYC Sunny bronzing powder which is amazing).

THIS BRONZER LOOKS AND SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. I love it! It’s matte and the shade compliments my skin nicely. I chose shade 51, which is a fairly light shade.

Soap & Glory is one of those brands that I’ve seen in Shoppers, but haven’t really seen anywhere else. I often hear beauty gurus and bloggers ranting on about how much they love the products. Being a totally sheep, I bought two items at Boots (the UK version of Shoppers!) I believe the deal was buy one get one half off.

Clean, Girls; skin softening creamy body wash
Oooooooh man this stuff is good. It’s a scented body wash and it makes you smell like flowers! Super lovely scent. Lathers up nicely and feels lovely on the skin.

Flake Away; shea butter, sugar and peach seed powder spa body polish
Not gonna lie, never really saw the hype behind body polishes. I used the St Ives apricot body scrub back at home but it was a ‘meh/could live without this’ product. Since the deal was buy one get one half off, I decided to try it out! It’s a good product – buffs away dead skin and leaves it feeling great, but the big thing for me is THE SCENT. SMELLS SO GOOD. AHH.

I also hear the body butters are quite good as well, hoping to try those out later on. (My wallet is still sobbing over the amount of money that I’ve spent since I’ve arrived.)

For the first few days, my skin was feeling super dry. I popped by Superdrug and was looking for Aveeno moisturisers, because that’s what I used back at home. They didn’t have any, so I settled with Garnier Moisture Match for dull skin (lol).

I find that products for dull skin have some things (probably magic) in them to brighten up one’s complexion. Not sure if it’s because of this moisturizer, but my skin has been at an all time best so far! A hardly any major blemishes and my skin feels healthy. This has a gel consistency and has a light floral gel scent that faces after application.

L’Oreal Elvive smooth & polish perfecting conditioner/shampoo ~with keratin polish~

Pretty sure we have the same thing back at home, because the packaging looks virtually the same as the L’Oreal NutriShimmer shampoo. Haven’t seen any amazing results yet, but right now I’m generally looking for anything that’s gonna calm my stupid frizzy hair down 🙁

That’s it for my haul, until next time! 😀

[Review] Sephora’s Give Me Some Lip 2013

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Ahh damn! I knew this blog every other day thing wouldn’t work out! Haha, it was cool while it lasted, definitely got me into blogging more. I’ve got a lot to talk about in upcoming posts, especially for my upcoming exchange to England! 🙂

Anyway, today is my birthday! It’s been pretty chill, just went to the mall and bought a new point and shoot camera for vlogging and taking pictures (since my DSLR is quite heavy/takes up a lot of space.) By the time this post comes out, I’ll be out having dinner with friends. Woo Pickle Barrel! 😀

My good friend Mika ordered this for me from Sephora for my birthday! It’s a value lip set, containing different deluxe size samples from popular makeup brands. You can find it here – it retails for $30 in Canada / $25USD! We were actually surfing r/makeupaddiction on Reddit and came across a really good review.. I kinda said that I wanted it without thinking and Mika was like “I’ll get it for your birthday!” Yaay!! 😀

It includes 6 products – one of which is full sized! (Tarte Lip-Surgence!) This is great for somebody like me who hasn’t really explored in the world of lip glosses, haha. I think lip products are my addiction, I have so many!

It’s funny because the card that came with the order said “Hope you’ll get lots of kisses with these in England.”

….Hahaha fat chance *forever alone*
Anyway, on to the review! The first one, the Fresh Rose tinted lip treatment isn’t pictured because I already reviewed on this blog. You can read the review here!

0.10 oz Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Bare Pink – This is a really pretty neutral pink gloss! It has a really strong scent, kinda smells like vanilla cupcake? Or cake batter or something? I typically don’t like this strong of a scent but I really like the smell of this one, and the colour is so nice! A very pretty nude-pink.

0.07 oz Buxom® Full-On™ Lip Polish in Dolly – Medium pink gloss with subtle shimmer. I’ve never tried a Buxom gloss before! These are well known in the makeup community because when you apply it on your lips, you get a tingling feeling! It claims to plump your lips up. The cooling sensation is really nice! Lovely colour as well.

0.14 oz NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight – W-wait… what’s that black blur in the corner??

It’s Happy! Every time I try taking blog photos, she get’s a sudden urge for attention and always walks into my photos. Here she is modelling the Nars gloss, haha. The gloss itself is a pale pink gloss. I was very skeptical when I saw this because I typically don’t like very pale colours, I don’t feel like they suit my skin tone that well. However, I found that a little bit goes a long way – using just a dab across the lips gives a nice pale colour without being too light.

0.05 oz Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb – Glossy lip pencil. As the name states, it’s very pigmented! Lovely rhubarb colour. Haven’t really worn this much, but I feel like I’ll be wearing this a lot in the fall!

0.10 oz Tarte LipSurgence™ Lip Luster in Glitzy – Full fized product! This is like a glossy lip crayon, a bit more of a smooth texture than the Bite pencil. Medium (slightly copper/orange-toned) pencil with shimmer. I also think this will be a nice fall colour! And it’s full sized, which is even better!

Now, for swatches.

My favourite colours at the moment are the Laura Mercier and Buxom glosses! However, I really like all of these colours and I feel like I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of each of them. It’s great that these are also deluxe sample sizes! I’m not a religious wearer of lip-gloss, so this is a nice way to try out products (for such a good price, I mean $30 for 6 products!!) All of the colours look great across bare lips as well. Haven’t really tried layering them on top of lipsticks yet though because I pretty much only have orange lipsticks at the moment haha….

If you want to see what the colours look like on actual lips, check out this review! This was the review that my friend and I found on Reddit that kinda prompted me to fall in love with it. Glad I did! :)Which one is your favourite?

Definitely recommend this set! If you’re thinking about it, definitely try it out! (The price is great as well!)

I’ll be posting soon when I start preparing for my exchange to England! 😀 Seeya~!

[REVIEW] Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

Heyo lovelies!

I follow a lot of beauty bloggers and vloggers. I mean, a lot. Name one, and I probably follow them. I like watching reviews and makeup tutorials and reading blog posts with lots of photographs! I’ve seen many of them raving about Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream as a sort of “holy grail” item. I was in Winners one day and saw they had a brand new box of it it on sale for $10! I decided to try it out.

Hyappy is a wonderful model ;D
I hadn’t read any reviews or seen and videos about this item – just heard that it was a fantastic product. I didn’t really have any idea about what the texture was going to be like – just thought that it was going to be another white potted cream. I was quite surprised to find that the cream is more like an orange gel. It applies quite thickly, and it is quite sticky.
I’ve been using it for a week now and I’ve definitely seen results! I’ve been experiencing a stupid heat rash on the inside of the elbow, with a big patch of dry skin. ;_; Within 2 applications (before bed), it was greatly reduced! Very moisturising! There are lots of different uses.

-Rubbing into cuticles;-Use as a face mask in the evening;– Remove tough makeup, like waterproof mascara;– On feet (such as hard or cracked heels);– Protects skin from drying, sun, wind, central heating and air-conditioning;– Apply around the nose if you have a cold;– Use as a highlight over makeup. On the lids, cheekbones and lips;– Use a tiny amount to tame frizzy hair;– As a lip balm for chapped lips;– Apply to very dry or chapped skin. Like the hands, elbows and knees;– Can be used on eyebrows to hold them in place;– May be used on abrasions, irritations, scrapes, burns and insect bites;– Can be used to banish blemishes;– Use to add a sheen to the legs.

I can see what all the hype is about. If you’re looking for a product that does all of the above, look no further!
Thanks for reading, see you guys soon!

[REVIEW] Pinkicon

A while ago, the new circle lens and wig store called Pinkicon contacted me, asking me if I’d like to review some products for them! They are a promising new store located in Hong Kong, and have a variety of items.

I received three different packages from them. They were sent by EMS and arrived within a few days. Communication was super fast, and I always got a reply within a day. Customer service was great.

The first package one contained two different pairs of circle lenses!

Starmish Brown are 14.5mm lenses. They are a fairly bold orange-brown/copper colour. The colour is quite striking! I love the look of this colour on my eyes since I’ve never really tried it before. Reminds me of cat eyes haha!

Dali Heart Brown are dark brown lenses that have a subtle heart pattern. I typically don’t like darker brown lenses (because I’d rather have yellowish eyes hahaha) but these are quite nice. If you have dark brown eyes and want a big dolly enlargement, these would be ideal.

Magic Magic is a Japanese falsies brand. I’ve never heard of it before (Well, I’m not exactly up the biggest connoisseur of gyaru lashes), but the designs are really cute.

Magic Magic false eyelashes — I was sent two different types. Not too sure about the names. The first one in the purple package sports more of a cat-eye style. Lashes are fairly natural but have more of an accent towards the ends. The lashes in the pink box are fairly natural but have smaller accents on both ends.

I prefer the cat-eye style!

The lash also came with lash glue. The glue was pretty weak and didn’t stick very well. Bit of a miss for me. The cool thing about this though is that it’s kind of a tinted color? Like, the glue itself is a white colour but looks kind of blue and purple from different lights/angles, if that makes sense.

The next package contained the wig. It’s a pink-ash milk-tea brown color. This wig is soooo soft! It has some curls but the curls disappear once you brush it out, which is kind of sad. But man, the quality of this wig is lovely. It doesn’t tangle at all! It’s not the most flattering colour on me since I tend to rock the darker colours, but this was a nice change! The package came with a wig cap and brush. You can see how it looks on me in the video below 😀

The last package was a wig stand. It came in three pieces – two main body pieces and a top ring. You cross the two body parts over and then secure the ring part along the top! This is great. It’s light and easy to assemble. Definitely going to bring this with me to cons, since we usually never bring wig stands with us because they take up so much room.

I actually posted the review video a loonnnnggg time ago, but totally forgot about the blog post! Whoopsiiii~~

Anyway thanks for reading, seeya the day after tomorrow!

W2Beauty Review + Giveaway!

Hello lovelies!

A while ago, the lovely owner of messaged me and asked me if I wanted to review some products! As you know, I’m a huge fan of Asian beauty products. Their store has a huge selection of korean beauty products, so it’s really a one stop shop for all of your Asian cosmetic needs! 😀  I picked out some things to review for you, as well as putting together a little makeup tutorial! I think I’ll put all of my makeup content on my blog, since I think it feels a little out of place on my youtube page~

This is a champaign colored glitter liner. This is great for the inner corner of the eyes and lower lash line! I’ve seen this used in many ulzzang makeup tutorials It really brightens up the eyes. Very sparkly when it catches the light!

EXCUSE ME BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT PACKAGING? Oh my lorrrrddd this is probably one of the prettiest packages I’ve ever seen for makeup. (I might be biased because of the cats haha :3c) The case is so pretty!

The blush itself is multi colored. There are white, violet, and light pink highlighting tones, in addition to peach, orange, and coral blush tones! So I guess this would bea highlighting/blush duo. The mixed colours results in a light, shimmery peachy shade. Such a pretty colour for spring/summer! I’ve been wearing it non-stop. Definitely my favourite blush so far!

I will be the first to admit that I need all the help I can get with my eyebrows. Due to my trich (pulling out eyebrow hairs when I get stressed,) my eyebrows don’t look very nice. Luckily, these powders help me sort them out!

There are three colours in this palette. A highlighting color, a medium brown and a dark brown. My eyebrows are dark, so I use the darkest colour. The kit comes with a spooley brush and a dual-head angled brush and soft shadow brush.

Again, HOW CUTE IS THIS PACKAGING? Western retailers, take a hint please~!! Another cat product (HAHA not done with them yet, there’s one more ;] )

This is a transulent powder. I’ve been in need for a new one because my Maybelline one is too dark for me at the moment (it’s more of my ‘summer’ skin tone, when I’ve tanned a bit more.) Right now I’m working, and my face tends to get a little bit oily during the day, especially when I have to work 8 hour shifts *cry* This super cute powder pact has an embossed cat paw print! And the case is adorable. The powder has a light sweet scent which quickly fades away. Does an amazing job at oil control. Doesn’t clog pores either!

Ahem. *insert fangirling about packaging.* This is a very nice lipstick! I’m totally obsessed with orangey/peach/coral lipsticks. It seems to be the only colour that works really well on my skin tone. Pinks look really strange on me, reds are okay, but oranges work really well! It’s quite creamy, but settles in the dry cracks of your lips after a while so you’ll have to reapply.

So…. Giveaway time! Win your favourite product out of the ones that I reviewed! 😀

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Giveaway ends on the 24th of July… I’ll make a post a few days before reminding everyone again! :}

Also sorry for the lack of posts… I’m terribly busy at the moment, with juggling two jobs as well as trying to keep my youtube page active. I’ll try to do a few posts and then schedule them so you guys have something to read. Please leave me a comment telling me what kind of posts you’d like to see and I’ll try to do those asap!

haircare / skincare

A few people have asked if I could make a post on the current products that I use on my hair!

Probably because of my fabulous hairflip intros haha~ I thought I might as well just couple it with some skincare products. (Mainly because the lighting in the bathroom was quite nice and I wanted to take photos.)

TRESemmé Naturals Shampoo – It has less sulfates (which is always good) and helps smooth out frizzies (I haven’t cut my hair in forever so it gets huuuuuuge after showering, so anything to help smooth out/flatten my hair is great!)
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask – holy grail product – makes my hair smell AMAZING! Also smooths, detangles and moisturises.
Royal Spa Conditioner – I’ve been using it forever since my mom uses Royal Spa hair products religiously. I don’t even know where you can get this stuff because she orders it through her friend or something? Anyway it also smells amazing and makes my hair feel super soft.

Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser – skin is currently quite acne-prone (this always happens around exam/final project time, ughggdjkfghdjkfghkjg)
Olay ProX Exfoliating Renewal Cleanser – smells kinda weird but feels nice on the skin – fairly light exfoliator.
Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash – Smells really nice, I like to use it when my skin isn’t acne-prone!

As for tools…
Tosowoong Pore Brush – the most amazing pore brush ever. It has so many super soft bristles and lathers up face wash so nicely!
Olay ProX exfoliating cleansing brush – I use this when my skin gets a bit more dry, to get rid of the dry skin on my face. (Happens quite often during the winter, especially since winter seems to be dragging on!)

Let me know if there are any other reviews you would like to see~

White Screen mesh contacts [review]

Hello lovelies! I’ve got a contact lens review for you today, haven’t done one in a while now!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m planning to cosplay Hinata from Naruto Shippuden! She’s a character that has ‘white out eyes’ – she doesn’t have a black pupil.

I bought these contacts from I haven’t bought lenses from them before, but apparently they’re quite well known. They sell lots of special effects contact lenses (like scleral/full eye contacts, ones with special designs…etc. Not really circle lenses)

These lenses are £17.99… I can’t remember the exact price for these, but I’m pretty sure it came to a little over $30. The store is located in the UK, and it took about a week to ship here in Canada! 😀

Unlike regular contacts, there is no part for the pupil to see through, since the purpose of these lenses is to create a whiteout effect.

So you’re probably wondering how much it actually obscures your vision! This is based on my experience with them. For reference, I don’t wear glasses, I have 20/20 or plano vision (0.00). Also my eyes are a bit watery in this picture because I had just put them in!  I swear my blog is mostly freaky/weird pictures of my eyes hahaha.

If you have dark eyes, they do show through the mesh and are pretty obvious up close. However, they look less noticeable from far away. Instead of having pure white-out eyes, your eyes just look dead and gray.

Since it’s a mesh/screen design, you can still see through the mesh. Your vision is probably reduced down to about 60% of your typical degree of visibility. You can still see things such as basic outlines, colours, and shapes. If you bring something up close to your eyes (such as something with writing) and focus harder, you can read.

For example, here is a photo that I took a while ago!

This is what you would see with your regular eyesight.

If you had these lenses in and there was a pretty good amount of light, or it was day time, the photo would look like this. A little bit of blurriness. It basically looks like somebody took a big white overlay and put it over your field of vision.

If there was a low-medium amount of light, it would look like this. You can see more colour and generally make out more of things, but there’s still a bit of white overcast.

Basically, the more light there is, the less you can see. (Not sure what it’s like with the other colours, but this is definitely the case with white lenses.) If you plan on wearing these, make sure you have a friend or somebody who can guide you because these do obscure your vision. I wouldn’t wear these for long periods of time either, as they do make your eyesight a tad blurry/ might cause headaches.

Anyway, yeah. Just be careful when you wear these lenses! :>

Aaaaaand finally, sneak peek of my Hinata cosplay! 😀
Cosplay was sent to me from for review, please check them out! Review coming out soon~

Woooo slowing getting back into reviews! I’m quite behind on them but I’m getting back into the swing of things!

I received a few things from Wishtrend to review! Wishtrend is a website that sells loads of Korean beauty products. I know lots of my readers are interested in Asian cosmetics, so you might want to check them out! They sell lots of products from popular brands such as Skin79, Elishacoy, Tosowoong…etc!

This is what I received!
Enzyme Powder Wash, Klair’s Restoring Time Serum, LIZ Color Veil BB Cream, Elisha Coy Always Nuddy BB Cream, and Tosowoong Detail Clean Pore Brush
This is the Tosowoong Detail Clean Pore Brush. It’s a super dense facial cleansing brush with something like thirty one thousand bristles! (O_O) So many! It claims to help fully clean out pores and remove dirt from the face.
First off, THIS BRUSH IS SO SOFT. I mean, so so so soft. And so nice. Brushing the dry bristles against your face is the nicest feeling in the world. The brush lathers up very quickly, you can feel it cleaning out your pores. It feels super refreshing! I’ve tried loads of cleansing brushes and this is by far my favourite. And I didn’t notice any shedding!

I used the brush with the cleansing powder that they sent me – Enzyme Powder Wash. It claims to thoroughly clean skin as well as giving it a healthy glow.

The bottle is filled with this “powder.” (It looks like laundry detergent haha!) Basically, you add water to it and lather it onto your face. It creates a thick foam, which is very nice! It made my face feel very clean and refreshed. It worked fantastically with the brush as well! I was looking on the Wishtrend website and they currently have a promotion where you can get the wash and brush together! 😀 I also like how easy it is to transport – it won’t leak or anything because it’s a dry powder, so it’s great for travelling!
Now, onto the BB creams!
I received two different BB creams – the first of which is the LIZ Color Veil UV Protection BB Cream. This BB cream has SPF 50+, which means it has a great amount of sun protection! This BB cream has a lovely rose scent! I know some people don’t like fragrance in their makeup, but oh myyyyy this smell is wonderful!
This bb cream is medium – heavy coverage. It also has yellow undertones, which is great for me! It’s so hard for me to find my shade in foundations at drug stores because everything is either too pink or orange toned for me! This shade (Gorgeous Beige) fit me perfectly.
I also received the Elisha Coy Always Nuddy BB Cream. I’ve never heard of this brand before, so I was quite excited to try it out! It doesn’t have a strong scent. Coverage is heavy-medium!
When I first swatched it on my hand, I noticed that the bb cream had pink/grey undertones. I was a bit unsure because they tend to make me look a bit greyface… After I tried it on my face, it oxidized and matched my face color very well! Almost as well as the first one! Which is great – it can also work for people who have yellow/peach skin tones.
This is a wrinkle serum! I’d say I’m not in the target market for wrinkle creams, but I figured I’d give it a go! The serum looks kinda like a gel, and is dispensed through the pump at the top. There isn’t really a smell, and it feel refreshing on the skin! I’d say that I’ll give it a little longer before I see any results, and I’ll report back!~
All of the good things! 😀
I hope you enjoyed the review! I’m slowly getting around to them so you can expect more in the coming weeks. :] If you’re interested in any of the products, you can find them at WISHTREND!
Oh also, I’ll be doing a giveaway with them soon, so make sure to subscribe to my youtube page! 😀

Everyday Beauty Essentials

I’ve really been loving these products recently, so I thought I would make a post on the beauty/skin products that I’m currently using.

My holy grail item – the NAKED Palette (Urban Decay). I use it almost every day, whether it’s for a darker eye, or just for a sheer shimmery wash across the lids. I first discovered it through various Youtube Makeup gurus who were raving about it, but didn’t actually try it out until Sami let me see hers at Otakon! I love it, totally worth the money! Sometimes I use darkhorse and smog as liners if I want something softer than liquid liner.

Fresh’s SUGAR lip products. I use all of them because they are so wearable! Swatched them here. I use Rose the most because I like it the best, although I have been using the clear lip treatment (dark red tube) and patting some peach blush over the top to get a nice matte peachy lip.

I’ve actually taken these pictures a while ago, so I’ve actually switched out my Maybeline Dream Matte Powder (in Sand) to my Luview Pressed Powder Compact because my skin is getting lighter for winter.

Also using Imogen Rose solid perfume from LUSH quite often for a lovely rose scent. Right – my makeup bag!

Top is my Lioele Eyeshadow Trio – mainly use it for the shimmy champagne shade as an inner corner highlight. Whenever I use contact lenses, or if I have red eyes in the morning, I use my Rohto Lycee eye drops. (Love them!) As for liquid liners, I use Dolly Wink and Maybelline’s Lash Stiletto. I use Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion to prime my eyeshadow, but I only use it if I’m going out/want the shadows to last for long periods of time. Top is my Skinfood Dark Circle Salmon eye concealer, it’s got quite heavy coverage and hides my eyebags (no sleep in university, cry). Finally, a black kohl eyeliner pen (not sure about the brand, it rubbed off.)

Maybelline’s Megaplush Volum’ Express Mascara. It’s great for lengthening. Doesn’t really volumize, but creates nice fluttery eyelashes!

These St.Ives Fresh Skin cleansing cloths do a great job of removing face oil and makeup, but aren’t too drying! Also decided to try out Pond’s dry skin cream as the change in weather is really drying out the skin on my face. It’s probably the best cream I’ve tried out so far, super moisturising! Definitely recommend it! (It’s pretty cheap too, I think it was like $7 at Shoppers Drug Mart)

What are your favourite everyday beauty items? 😀

[REVIEW] AngelContacts Circle Lens

Hello darlings! I’m back with a circle lens review. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a few more of these up soon!
I get loads of questions about what lenses I wear in my videos/photos, as well as where I get them. The lovely people at AngelContacts let me choose two pairs of lenses to review! I chose GEO Fresh Brown and Nudy Blue.

Communication was extremely fast – I would receive a reply to my emails within one day – sometimes on the same day! They really value customer service, which adds onto the pleasant shopping experience.

In terms of packaging, AngelContacts has probably been the best I’ve seen so far! My package arrived in a bubble-wrap envelope. Contacts were packaged in these little plastic cases, with business cards inside. They also included a little booklet showcasing the different designs, which I have never seen a circle lens store do!

GEO FRESH BROWN – Recently, I’ve been looking more at lenses that would be suitable for every day wear. I feel like 14.5mm/15mm lenses look a little too surreal for daily wear at school. I don’t wear lenses very often at school, only on days that I want to look extra nice, or for special events. I was searching for a natural brown coloured lens that would enlarge my eyes and help to achieve a dolly eye effect! The fresh series caught my eye – it has a very natural design with subtle enlargement.

These are probably my favourite natural lens so far! The design actually reminds me a lot of my favourite lenses! My ‘signature’ circle lenses, aka GEO Cafe Mimi lenses in Latte brown, are a little too big/alien for regular daily wear, so these are a great alternative.

Next, I decided to check out GEO NUDY BLUE. I’ve tried the Nudy series before, but I have to say, the blue color is definitely my favourite. (Review for green and violet).

In natural and artificial lighting, these lenses tend to appear as a turquoise color! I love this effect.

Nudy lenses are famous for giving a ‘sparkly’ eye look, and are great for blending into one’s natural eye color. They stand out nicely on dark/medium brown eyes. I’m sure they would look great on light eyes as well!

All in all, I love these lenses! Especially in love with the Nudy blue lenses because they are the most flattering blue lenses that I’ve tried so far! Despite being 14mm (same size as the brown ones), they give me more of a ‘dolly eye’ look. I think I’ll use these for my Hilda cosplay when we have photoshoots!

If any of these lenses caught your eye, head on over to Angel Contacts!

[REVIEW] LUSH – Sakura Bath Bomb

Went to LUSH last weekend to pick up a relaxing bath bomb~ The bath/shower in my current house is kind of gross therefore I refuse to have a bath in it, only showers. Since I was going home for the weekend and had just finished a wave of projects, I wanted to sit down and relax! (You guys know how much I love my bath salts hahaha!)

Picked up the Sakura Bath Bomb ($6.45).

When the blossoms burst forth in spring, it’s a tradition to take a picnic and bottle of sake and enjoy the beauty. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees. Instead of heading to the park, lay back in serene waters while the gorgeous scents of mimosa and jasmine envelop you to give you the joyful feeling of springtime. Sakura: simple, elegant, and enduringly beautiful bathing. – LUSH website

The smell was quite nice, but that’s about I really have to say about this. Not really sure what I was expecting with this, but I didn’t feel anything extra for my skin. The smell didn’t last too long, and no water effects (thickening, heating, etc) like my bison bath salts. To be honest I felt kind of bad because in my opinion $6.45 is quite expensive for a bath bomb. The only once that I’ve tried so far and loved was Pheonix Rising

Hopefully one day, I’ll be able to try out the other products, such as the masks, shower gels etc. I have Lush solid perfume (Imogen Rose), and previously used their solid shampoo bars! I might stay away from the bath bombs for a while though… I’ll stick to my bison salts 😀

Lip tint tint tint stick

I’m super tired today but I feel terrible for not updating my blog, so here’s a spontaneous review post!

This past weekend, a family friend came over and brought me some goodies! Aaaaa lovely lovely things!

First, lip tints! These lip tints are by fresh, part of their Sugar Lip Treatments! Sephora is currently offering miniature versions of Rose and the clear treatments as part of their Beauty Insider birthday gift program! I picked up the mini versions for my birthday in August and have been in love with them ever since. Luckily, I received the full size versions of Honey and Coral! Also received a lipstick from Make Up Forever in the shade N34.

Coral is a bright coral – red orange tint. Although it is a tint, the color is quite opaque and glossy. Coral is a lip treatment, therefore it moisturises, conditions, and repairs the skin on your lips! while providing a nice pop of colour! Lasts fairly long, although the color tends to fade to the edges making it look like you’re wearing lip liner. Fine on reapplication though.
Honey is a toned down brown/nude pink. Probably the most wearable, toned down colour of the three. Applies semi-sheer. Like Coral, it is a tinted lip treatment. I’ve been wearing this color the most out of the three.
N34 is a cool-toned medium pink color. Not as glossy as the others, but then again, it’s a lip stick.

Swatches on my arm. Since I haven’t done swatches of the mini Sugar duo from Sephora, I thought I’d toss them in here.

Hahaha not too sure why I swatched a clear balm, but there you go. Rose is my favourite because it gives a nice wash of color. The formula isn’t sticky either, and is super moisturizing.

Definitely in love with these sugar tints! Which is your favourite color?

[REVIEW] GEO Tricolor Green + Violet

A little while ago, Shoppingholics sent me some lenses to review!

I always seem to review super huge dolly lenses, but this time I decided to take a look at some more natural looking lenses. I found the perfect ones when I tried on the lenses from the GEO Tricolor series! (♡˙︶˙♡)

Lenses arrived in these cute boxes~ It also included a very cute thank you card! The extra effort put into customer service really makes the difference. (´;ω;`)

These are the green lenses. They come in the smallest size (14mm) and, as the name suggests, they have three colors – darker green outer ring, medium green body, and a light green/yellow inner ring! The design is pixelated up close, but appears to blend very well on the actual eye.

Lenses on naked eye~ no makeup! Very natural coloring, blends in quite well with my brown eyes. Even without makeup, they look super natural. Picture taken in natural indoor lighting by a window.

In outdoor lighting! The green colors look a bit darker on brown eyes, but that adds to the more natural look.

Now for the violet lenses! The colouring consists of a darker purple outer ring, medium purple in the middle, and a light purple/brown for the inner ring. It’s not a super vibrant violet colour, so it can be suited for daily wear.

I didn’t get an opportunity to upload a picture in natural lighting, but I’ll be sure to update this post when I get it!

LOL ok I know my eyes look kind of scary, but here is a picture of both lenses taken in natural indoor lighting (by a window). I love the colors of these lenses so much!

Now a picture with heavier eye make up. Despite not being bigger in size, the dolly eye look is still very achievable! This is probably the most accurate portrayal of the color in everyday indoor lighting. Not too vibrant, but still gives off a great colour!

In general, these lenses remind me of regular colour contacts, but a little bigger in size (and probably a fraction of the price of prescribed ones!) These lenses are super comfortable, and only had to be rewetted with eyedrops once.

These are definitely my new favourite lenses! I want to try all of the colours now! (*゚▽゚)ノ Which ones are your favourite?

[REVIEW] Bison Cooling Mint Bath Salts

Back in February, I did a SASA haul! (I blogged about it in this previous post).

I wasn’t up until about two weeks ago, on my birthday, that I used some of the bath salts! I like to save them for special occasions because I really like using them and don’t order them too often.
It was a very hot and sweaty day, so I decided to try out the cooling Bison bath salts. I’ve read various reviews on how they create a tingling and cooling sensation in the bath, so I was curious to experience that myself.

Product description:

“Bison Mint Bath Additive allows you to easily enjoy a carbonic acid bath containing the element of germanium. It gives you a new cool experience that comes with crackling.Germanium, one of its ingredients, is hydrating. Besides, minerals from hot spring leave skin sleek.
The product also contains tightening and cooling ingredients, deodorizing ingredients and skin-smoothing ingredients.”

The powder itself is a sky blue color and contains clear crystal chunks! This is what creates the ‘popping’ noises when you pour the powder into the bath!

The powder had a very strong mint scent. The scent reminded me a bit of toothpaste, haha! I liked it though.

In the first few minutes of getting in the bath, I really didn’t feel any different. No tingling effect, just a very strong mint scented blue bath. I like my baths to be quite hot – I was sweating but didn’t feel any of the salt’s effects. However, a few minutes after, the ‘cooling’ effect kicked in.

It’s a very strange feeling – my body that was in the water doesn’t feel any different, but the part above water began to feel very minty! And I definitely felt the cooling effect! Helped me to cool down in a hot bath~ very refreshing!

Definitely recommend this bath salt for summer and hot weather!

Smell like a Rose Garden~

As an early birthday present to myself, I decided to wander into LUSH! I love LUSH products. After reading a few great reviews for their solid perfumes from some bloggers that I follow, I decided to get one for myself!

I don’t wear perfumes too often, but when I do, I like them to be light with floral notes. I have the Summer Hill hydrating body mist from Crabtree & Evelyn which I really like! I love rose scents but their Evelyn Rose scent only came in perfume form instead of body mist, which is a little too strong for my liking.

While trying out the solid perfumes in store, I came across Imogen Rose. (Here’s the link on the website.) It was quite pricey at $15.95 for such a small size, but I decided to take a risk with this one.

This perfume uses real natural rose oils and does not contain any alcohols. It’s a light sweet rose scent with a hint of baby powder to lighten it up. Those happen to be two of my favourite scents so I was instantly drawn to it. It is a very elegant perfume!

It lasted almost all day! It was smelling a bit faint at the end of the day, but the rose scent was still lingering.

Downside is the container is quite small, but it’s easy to just keep in my bag in case I just want to smell like roses haha.

Have you tried any other solid perfumes?

Tako Sushi (AKA FOOD PORN)

Hello my darlings~

I’m here today with a super awesome food post! Last saturday, my parents and I went to Tako Sushi! Tako Sushi is a Japanese restaurant that was recommended to us by friends. We had a great experience during our first visit, so we decided to return for some more great food!

The memorable points of this restaurants consist of their great service, fresh food and cozy atmosphere! The prices on the menu are also very affordable for the amount of food that you receive. (You get a lot of food for your dollar~)

Instead of ordering just straight off the menu, we decided to try out the ‘teppanyaki’.

Teppanyaki is when you are seated before a hot stove – a chef arrives and cooks your meal before your eyes! The food that you receive is super fresh and hot!

I ordered the Teppan Fuji. It came with salad and miso soup!

It also came with a side of sushi!
The people beside us ordered a lobster dish. The chef brought in the raw meats and began cooking! It was fun to watch.

Here he is preparing my salmon~
Tasty beef dish and green tea!
Sauteeing the meat and vegetables for the beef rice!

MMMM adding egg! I love egg rice so much…. starting to drool again *q*
OK so the chef sliced an onion and started pulling out the inner pieces to form a type of cone…
He coated it in the liquid in the bottle! Then he lit a match.
At first I was like whoa this is cool! He lit it in fire, aw that’s a cute little flame —
The flame grew so quickly, it almost caught me off guard!

At the end, we were offered a choice of mango, green tea, or red bean flavoured ice cream. I chose mango because I don’t really like the other two. (Green tea is alright, I just hate red bean stuff haha.)

If you ever get the chance to visit, I definitely recommend it! I went to the Mississauga location but I’m pretty sure they also have a location in Toronto!

On another note, I uploaded another video in regards to Fan Expo (next weekend!) See you guys there~

(Posted this on my tumblr as proof so I can receive a refund on from paypal, so please don’t mind the tumblr watermarks!)

Recently bought this NAKED2 eyeshadow palette from this eBay seller. When I received the package, I knew that something was wrong. The palette I received was clearly a counterfeit product. Here is the proof!

Comparison from the video to my actual product.

1. The authentic Urban Decay eyeshadow comes in plastic packaging and always comes with a mini Urban Decay lipgloss. As you can see, the fake comes in regular paper packaging and no lipgloss.

2. The authentic NAKED2 comes in plastic packaging around the tin, and has no extra white space at the sides. This counterfeit NAKED2 has the white spaces.

3. The authentic NAKED2 has even eyeshadow pans, and does not have a mark in the middle of the tin. This replica has a middle mark.

4. The authentic NAKED2 has smaller and brighter letters. The replica one has dull yellowish letters that are bigger.
5. In the real NAKED2, the “d” of ‘Half Baked’ aligns with the edge of the eyeshadow pan. In the fake, it goes past the pan.

6. The fake NAKED2 has very sparse brushes, not thick and dense like that actual Urban Decay brushes.

Also, the shadows here are really sunken in. Unlike the authentic Urban Decay shadows (which are filled to the top), this palette has ‘sunken in’ shadows which don’t even fill the pan half way. It’s just a thin strip of eyeshadow coating the pan.

I’m really hoping to get a refund because it’s super sucky to have paid for a product that is a fake. I was really looking forward to my Urban Decay NAKED2…  🙁

I even got this message from eBay warning me that it was a fake, but I had already paid for the product by the time I had received the email.

So let this be a lesson to those buying makeup products off eBay! Even if the seller has good feedback, it’s better not to risk it and get it off the official site or in store.

Update: After sending the seller this review, they have agreed to refund my money only if I send back the product with its original packaging. Kind of a stupid agreement, since they’re just going to put it back on the market to screw somebody else over.

Recent GETS: Smashbox, Lioele, Skinfood and ARUPAKASO

Hi guys! I’m back with a proper blog post now!

I’m way behind on my product reviews, so I figured that I’d make a big post featuring some recent gets! Work has been booking me in for full time hours, therefore for the past few weeks I’ve been getting some nice pay cheques! I’m forcing myself to save 60% of each pay cheque for my exchange to the UK though.

I bought these sometime between June and July!

At the beginning of the month, I ran out of BB cream! I did quite a bit of researching before buying Lioele Triple the Solution BB cream from Cosmetic Love. I wanted a medium-full coverage bb cream that would feel lightweight on the skin. I decided on this BB cream after watching MissGlamorazzi‘s videos! (She’s one of my favourite makeup gurus on youtube!) She’s also half asian and I think we have similar skin tones – I find her tutorials actually suit my quite well!

This BB cream comes in a tube, but has a handy pump applicator.

It applies wonderfully – super smooth and full coverage can be achieved with just a pea sized amount! It also smells like jasmine and does not irritate my skin.

Here’s a swatch on my wrist. It looks a bit darker, but the skin on my face is a bit darker and works great with my summer skin tone. This will probably be too dark for me in the winter though, so I’ll have to find a paler BB cream!

My skin is light with a yellow (and slightly pink) undertones. I recommend this for those who are interested! It’s a great bb cream.

Also picked up the Skinfood salmon dark circle concealer! This was a bit of an impulse buy because I ran out of my Rimmel concealer and my dark circles were beginning to show through – a result of many late nights reading Fairy Tail. The packaging looks appealing! Very ‘natural’ themed, in a small glass pot.

(I had already used the product before taking the picture, ooooops) It’s a very creamy concealer that hides dark circles very well.

It’s more peach-toned than yellow-toned though. Since the concealer is so creamy, it doesn’t set when applied. In order to set it, I just pat some light powder over the top! Despite the creaminess, it lasts all day and hides circles very well.

Before work, I picked up this coral blush from Smashbox! I was snooping around the makeup section in Winners and saw this pretty coral blush. I’ve never tried Smashbox products before and this blush was such a great price ($15!)  so I decided to try it out!

The left half of the blush is matte, while the right side has subtle shimmer. When you swirl the two sides together, you get a lovely coral color with a slight shimmer!

Isn’t the color pretty? This is the result of a quick swirl with a mini blush brush on my wrist (without a primer.) I’ve been using this blush on days when I want a light coral glow on my cheeks!

I know it seems like I buy a lot of makeup, but I’m proud at the fact that I actually use them all! I know lots of people just hoard products and set them aside, but I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job at choosing things that I actually use.

Finally, some non-makeup products.

Impulse bought a Galaxy King Cat print shirt on ebay. Someone on my instagram posted a picture of wearing it and I was knew I had to have it! NO REGRETS, this is the best shirt ever.
Also bought myself an alpaca at Otakon. I have a tradition where I usually buy one plush whenever I go to a big convention (since I don’t really buy prints or anime merchandise.) I wanted to get a Totoro plush but I didn’t see many in the dealers room! Which is the opposite from Canadian cons since Totoros are everywhere! Instead, there were Alpacas. I bought this sailor one!
I named him Hershel~
Welp, that’s it for now. See you soon!

June Haul~

Well, this is hardly a haul haha. Picked up a few things this week! Needed to replace a few of my key make up items.
First, I needed a new powder! My Lioele powder is almost finished, and my Heroine Make smooth cover powder shattered ;_;. I was running to catch the bus to Ringo’s house (for cosplay sweatshopping) when my powder pact fell out of my backpack and shattered on the floor. There were some bigger pieces that could have been salvaged but I needed to catch that bus so I had to abandon the powder there. Saddest feeling over, orz.

Instead of ordering a new Heroine Make powder pact from SASA or ebay, I decided to try out western brands again. Got this Revlon PhotoReady powder, but it’s a tad too light for my skin. I might save it for winter when I get a bit more pale, but it looks like I’ll have to order another Heroine make powder.

This powder is pretty good though, it covers nicely for a matte finish. BUT NOT AS NICE AS HEROINE MAKE POWDER. :c

Also lost my EOS lip balm, so I took a chance with Baby Lips after hearing so many bloggers/vloggers rave about it! It’s quite food, lives to its hype. Hydrates the lips very well!

I bought the peach color because I like to have a peachy tint on my lips. I’m thinking about getting the clear one as well once I wear this down a bit! This color shows up as a light peachy orange.

Popped by H&M and picked up these purple shoes for $10! I love getting shoes from H&M when they’re on sale. These are quite comfortable as well. I’m pretty sure that H&M was getting rid of their spring stock, so they had loads of shoes, bags, and accessories for sale. These shoes were the only thing that caught my eye.

Also got the candy bar shirt from the Pinku Project booth at Anime North! I love this shirt so much! Ringo also got one that was yellow instead of blue like mine. It’s so sweet~ (。・ω・)ノ゙

[REVIEW] GEO Cafe Mimi lenses in Waffle Gray

Hello again!

I recently received these lenses from Mukuchu. I’ll be reviewing these lenses today!

As you can probably see in my previous reviews, I’m crazy about grey lenses! I love the way they look on my eyes. I’ve reviewed sparkly grey lenses, striking greys (Sesame Grey), but I’ll be reviewing a different type.

The Cafe Mimi lenses in Waffle Grey are a blue-gray lens that fades out to brown. So far I’m in love with all of the lenses from the Cafe Mimi series! I think the Latte brown lenses are still my favourite though.

Lenses came in their own little box, which was quite cute. Inside the box, there was a slide out tab which contained the lens vials.

In the side compartment, there was a lens case!
They look quite light and transparent in their vials when held up against the sunlight, but the color is quite opaque when worn on the eyes.
Sorry, the picture didn’t focus probably. But you get the gist of the colors on my eyes.
Black outer ring, fades into a dark blue grey, a light blue grey, and a yellow brown. The part that opens up for your pupil has a jagged black outline. I love this design!
With a ringlight/flash, the color is quite strong and opaque. In natural light, the lenses look dark blue-grey. It’s a fairly natural color.
These lenses are so striking! 😀
I’m also wearing Jewerich eyelashes in 01. The flared design really adds to the effect!
I think these lenses could work really well for cosplay. I’m actually debating whether or not I should wear these for my Rorona cosplay since they can pass off as being quite blue. I also like how they work with my wig (which is the one I’ll be wearing for my cosplay.)
These lenses were very comfortable. I didn’t feel any irritation at all.
You can get them here for $16 USD/AUD.

Let me know what you think of these lenses! Have you tried any of the Cafe Mimi series? 😀

[REVIEW] Circle Lenses!

I’ve been putting off this review for so long! I sincerely apologize.
Back in December, I received two pairs of lenses from the popular online circle lens shop, They have a great selection of lenses that you can’t find in other lens stores! I’m going to show you two designs now.
They came securely packaged in styrofoam blocks. I think this is probably one of the safest ways lenses are shipped to customers, because this securely protects the lenses. Packaging could be prettier tho.
It took about 2 weeks for the lenses to arrive to me. Communication was great, all my emails were answered promptly! A+ for service!

First, the grey lenses! Here’s what they look like…
And here’s the breakdown! These lenses mimic GEO’s Nudy Grey lenses, but have a thicker dark outer ring.

(Making use of my ring light haha~)It has a ‘sparkly’ grey design! Coverage is great. Doesn’t really blend too well with brown eyes, but would work amazingly with blue or green eyes!

The color comes out as a lice light grey, really makes the eyes stand out! I recommend these for cosplay as well, as they turn out quite nicely in photos. These can also work for daily wear!

Now, onto the Pop C Dark lenses in blue!

Here is what they look like in the case…
And here is the breakdown!

These lenses are great, so different from all the blue lenses I’ve tried.  The coverage is solid, and the designs/colors are beautiful! The only thing I don’t really like about these lenses is how big the outer black ring is, but the gorgeous blues make up for that.

I’d definitely recommend these for cosplay, since the color is so pretty in photos. These look very unnatural for daily wear though.

I think I might wear these for my Rorona cosplay!
Both lenses are on sale for $20/pair, so definitely check them out!
I also have a coupon code!
Enter the code SACHIE for -10% off each pair of lenses!
Do you like these lenses?  Tell me what you think!

[REVIEW] Kiss Me Heroine Smooth Cover Powder

A review for this was actually requested a while back… was just waiting for my new powder to arrive. (My last one decided to do a suicide jump from my bag = shattered powder all over the side walk.  Fortunately it was almost finished. Wrote this post up a while ago and then forgot about it…orz

Well, here you go!

Kiss Me Heroine has become one of my favourite Japanese cosmetic brands. They have great products and adorable packaging! I love the retro anime designs.  I’ve been using this powder I think for… 2 years? Probably one of the best that I’ve ever used!  (Next to the Lioele one~)

Very cute dresign. Much prettier than American brands’ packaging!
 Comes with a marshmallowy sponge.

I really like this powder because it actually matches my skin color very well! I have like… light nude colored skin that has yellow undertones. I find that other powders are usually too white or too yellow. This one is a perfect combo.

After one light swipe. This powder can be used as a powder foundation because it has such great coverage! For those days where you don’t feel like putting on bb cream or foundation, this will work well to tone down redness and cover up flaws.

I really love this powder <3

[REVIEW] Cure Natural Aqua Exfoliating Gel +Bison Bath Salts

Oh man, I feel like all I ever post now are reviews.

I do like writing reviews though, as well as reading them! I think that it’s helpful to people who are looking to buy the product but want more personal information as opposed to just the product info on the website.

I recently bought Cure Natural Aqua Exfoliating Gel.  I’ve read numerous blog reviews that raaave about this product, so I really wanted to try it out. It promises to remove dead skin cells form your face but in a super gentle manner that won’t hurt your skin like other exfoliating scrubs. This isn’t a scrub though, it’s a gel! And it’s super gentle.  It’s made with natural ingredients and is like 90% water!

I bought it from this eBay Seller.

The package came packed super nicely! Lots of bubble wrap to make sure the bottle arrived safely.  It also came with a pack of moisturising bath powder! I love my bath powders and salts. (*´艸`*)

The bottle is medium sized. The pump is super smooth, so you don’t have to press hard to get a lot of product out.
It has a watery gel consistency. No scent either!
When you rub it into your skin, the dead cells come off! Those little white rolls are my dead skin cells!
I’ve never used a product like this so I thought this was really cool. I used it on my face… I never realized how much dead skin I had on my faces! Especially since I used St Ives scrub exfoliator.
It was actually pretty gross lol. Especially on the sides of my nose! I washed my face before using the exfoliator… But then makeup was still coming out the pores on the sides of my nose!  Thank god for this product!
I totally recommend it! Although it’s a bit pricy… It should last a long time though because you’re not supposed to use it every day. Twice a week maybe?  And you don’t need very much product to get the full effect!
Now, for some bison bath salt pics. I recently used the Volcanic Clay type! It’s very nice.  I did a review on it last year in this review post!

It’s a purple powder with clear chunky crystals. Has a fruity scent.
Purple powder turns a greenish grey. Just like a volcanic cloud. It lives up to its name.
It also looks like a volcanic cloud!
Basically, I love Bison bath salts. I can never get enough! I ordered two different types in my SaSa haul. I’ll review those when they arrive.
I’m going to bed now, just marathonned an essay. Blogging is such a great stress reliever.

[REVIEW] Miss Tangerine – Follow Me Lip Tint in Tangerine

Recently ordered this Etude House Miss Tangerine Follow Me Lip Tint from Cosmetic Love. It was $7.98 with free shipping.
I’ve been looking for a peachy-pink lip tint for daily wear. I read Petit Poppy’s review on this tint and decided to try it out for myself!

Etude House Follow Me Tint: Follow 2NE1 lip sytles with edgy & unpredictable color! This cool, mint glossy tint stick goes on clear but changes from pale pink to intense fuchsia and every shade in between, according to your passion.

The packaging is so simple and pretty! I wish North American makeup packaging was this nice.

The lip tint itself is orange which raises a few eyebrows, but it changes to a peachy pink when applied to the lips. Petit Poppy’s review explains it better with swatches.

This is the colour directly applied to the lips. (sorry for the dry lips orz). There are some streaks or orange, but they fade into a peach pink after oxidizing (= after 30 seconds to a minute.)

I love this tint! It’s creamy and layers nicely, unlike my Tony Moly lip tint which is dry on the lips and builds intensity super quickly.

I recently did a cosmetics haul on SASA and eBay, waiting for my stuff to arrive! I’ll review the products when they arrive. ( • ̀ω•́  )

On another note, I’m thinking of changing my blog layout. I’ve had this one since September I think… I might switch to a spring theme? :3

Summer Hill

Quick post between classes!

Crabtree and Evelyn is probably one of my favourite beauty brands. I love all of their scents! Unlike other beauty stores that sell lotions/soaps/perfumes etc that have artificial scents, C&E’s products all have very soft, natural scents.

Practice shots with my new camera. Unedited (other than the watermark).

There used to be a Crabtree and Evenlyn at the mall near my house but then it closed down. I know there’s one in Eatons Centre in Toronto! I went with one of my friends to a mall near my university and found one there which was really exciting. I picked up this body spray.
It’s got a very pleasant light floral smell that doesn’t smell sharp or chemically. It honestly smells like you’ve just emerged from a field of flowers, it’s nice. ( ˘ ³˘)♥
So of course when I was taking the photos, my cat had to check everything out. ( • ̀ω•́  )
Will be writing up a cosplay post very soon! So excited, finally getting back into cosplay! :]
As for school, I like all of my classes so far! Haven’t really gone out too much this week, mostly just watched chick flicks and started watching Community (which I love!)

[REVIEW] Bison Bath Salts – Soda Pop

Hello guys and gals!
I’m in love with Bison bath salts! (`・ω・´)ゞ Bison is a Japanese brand that sells sweat bath salts. Unlike your regular bath powders and salts, sweat baths temporarily heat up your water and make you swear a lot. I find them to be very cleansing and they help me relax! (ㆆᴗㆆ) ♥
I first heard about them through Jenny’s blog.   I previously reviewed the ‘Volcanic Clay’ flavour(?) which you can read about here.
My mom’s friend brought these back from China. I think she bought them from Taobao… they were much cheaper than the prices listed on eBay and such (2 packs for $4 I think?).  I’m going to tell her to order some more for me next time.
This is the ‘Soda Pop’ variety. It didn’t really have the soda scent  , it was more like a really fruity scent. Nice either way.
The powder is white, with harder milky coloured crystals mixed in. The larger crystals actually start popping when you pour them into the bath! If you’ve ever tried PopRocks before, you’ll know what I mean. (。・ω・)ノ゙They’re like poprocks for your bath.
Unlike the Volcanic Clay powder, the Soda Pop powder didn’t change color when poured into the bath water. I didn’t take a picture of the bath, but it turned the bath water into a milky white colour. The scent lasted for quite a long time.  The heating effect only lasted a few minutes, about the same as the Volcanic Clay powder. It also made me sweat quite a bit which was nice. Very relaxing!
I love these bath salts, and I totally recommend them if you want to try them out!  I used to buy mine off eBay. Here is a listing for the ‘Soda Pop’ bath salts and here are listings for other types of Bison Bath Salts. They’re quite pricey though. ┐(´д`)┌
I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately, ones that I’ve downloaded from school. I recently watched One Day, How to Train Your Dragon, Coraline, Friends with Benefits…etc. I figured I’d try watching them all before I have to go back to university on Monday.   (No more sleeping in until noon this semester! ) Do you guys have any movie recommendations…? Please let me know! Σ(゚∀゚ノ)ノ

[REVIEW] GEO Princess Mimi Sesame Grey Circle Lenses

(Scheduled post – this was supposed to go up after exams but I forgot orz—)

Hello darlings! I’m finally done with my exams this semester! I hate how my exams spanned from the 8th until the 20…super dumb!  My last exam was French… All I really got from this week was an excessive amount of cramming and stressing out! (stress acne sob;;;)

Today I’ll be bringing you a review of the famous Princess Mimi (AKA Bambi) circle lenses! I got these from the popular circle lens shop Pinky Paradise.

I was really keen to get a pair of new grey lenses because my old EOS Pure Grey lenses had expired… and they were also only 14.0 mm lenses. (I’m addicted to the larger sizes, as they give a more dolly look! ) I needed a new pair of grey lenses for my Akiyama Mio cosplay for DTAC, and luckily these arrived in time.

I think it took around two weeks to arrive from Malaysia to Canada? Very quick because all of their lenses are instocks, so you don’t have to wait a super long time for orders to arrive.  Communication was great and I got very fast replies when I had questions!)

Pinky Paradise also has a super huge range of lenses! They have more than 600 designs!  They also sell lots of popular Asian makeup products such as BB Creams, false eyelashes, and facial masks! They basically have everything you’d need for beauty products!

Hippo lens case is super super cute ahh omg!
As you can see, the black outer ring is probably the most noticeable part of the lenses. Masuwaka Tsubasa, the famous Japanese model is so cute, she looks like a real life doll!  So obviously the lenses that she spokesmodels for make her look as dolly-eyed as possible.
Lenses in the case. Right lens is of the inside, left is of the outside of the lens.
Now for the breakdown! ヽ(。ゝω・。)ノ
The lenses themselves are 15mm. They have a very blendy grey design! The jagged design on the inner part of the ring draws attention to the pupil!

These are some pictures of the lenses worn with regular simple makeup. (liquid eyeliner, mascara) They grey look really makes my eyes stand out! And it shows up really well on brown eyes. Theses lenses definitely live up to their hype!   I tried using black eyebrow pencil but it made my eyebrows look kinda gray lol… maybe I should try brown eyebrow mascara or something? D: Let me know if you have any recommendations! I heard that dollywink’s is pretty good…?

I think these lenses were perfect for my Mio cosplay! They showed up very nicely in photos and didn’t make me look alien!
If you want to get these lenses, you can enter the code “sachiecosplay” and get these extras!

1. Customers entitle a FREE cute animal lens case PLUS mystery gifts

         2. The coupon code can be stacked, if you purchase 3 pairs, you will get 3 lens case plus 3
              mystery gifts.
          3. A minimum of 1 lens purchased to activate the code.

[REVIEW] Kimchi Yellow/Gold Circle Lenses

Today has been quite a good day! Σ(・ω・`|||)

Finished my first exam (multimedia). I originally thought it was 100 multiple choice questions but it turns out it was only 60 questions! We had 2 hours to finish the exam but I finished in 45 minutes… Stayed another 30 mins to check everything over (by this time, most of the people had left already lol)
Checked the academic website for my school where all out grades are, and turns out I got an A+ on the website I did for my final multimedia project! (⊙▽⊙) To top that off, a packaged arrived from a friend – he gave me his Beats earbuds that he didn’t use!  One thing to cross off my Christmas wishlist yay!

Also picked up some Christmassy props for DTAC this weekend “ヽ(´▽`)ノ” My maid K-On cos group, so excited!
(giant candy cane~)
Anyway, enough of that! Time for a lenses review!
Today, I’ll be reviewing Kimchi – Maki Yellow lenses! These lenses are from Uniqso.
I wanted to say that Uniqso’s customer service is amazing! They always respond quickly to my emails. The lenses arrived bubble wrapped in a small box. They even added a card, very sweet! The package was shipped in a padded envelope and took about 2.5 weeks to arrive from Malaysia to Canada. ー( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Here is the stock photo from the website… I could take a proper picture because the lens case that came with the lenses was hot pink, so you couldn’t really see the colour that well in the case. (。・д・)ノ゙
Kimchi - Maki Yellow
I’ve always wanted to try out some crazy gold/yellow lenses!  These looked promising. What really drew me in was the starburst design in the middle – most lenses just have a circular opening for your pupil to look out through, but the Maki lenses have a star design!
They are 16.2mm, which ensure you’ll have big dolly eyes! (⊙ω⊙)/ I think this is the largest pair of lenses I own! I think that they’re actually prob more of a 15mm size though, but whatever. The enlargement is great! It’s from the brand ‘Kimchi‘ which I’ve never heard of before, but they have quite a big range of unique lens designs!
(Sorry for the blurry pictures – my camera committed suicide the other day so I had to use my old pink one.)
They don’t look as bright in natural light. The black limbal ring really makes your eyes pop! I actually felt really badass with these in + smoky eyes… The colour of the lenses is a medium pale yellow + a darker, more orange-brown yellow. They also feature latte-like designs, except they are dark brown and are very noticeable. (。・ω・)ノ゙
In direct light, the yellow/gold colour really is noticeable! So is the starburst design, which I think is really cool! ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ
With bright light + flash, the yellow is really noticeable. These would be perfect for a cosplay of a character who has yellow eyes! The black outer ring defines the eyes, but the designs on the lens still make it look …relatively… natural.
I think it works quite well with dark eye makeup or smoky eyes~
I actually really like these lenses! They’re so striking and unique! Definitely cosplay lens though, I’d never wear this out in public haha.
As for the lens size, it took a bit of getting used to to wearing a size that big. Just make sure you have eyedrops handy!
You can get these lenses from Uniqso! These lenses are currently on sale for $19.90USD~ Check them out!
Really excited for DTAC this sunday!
P.S. Somebody asked me before if I photoshop my eyes bigger… I never do haha, it’s all the ~magic~ of circle lenses!

[REVIEW] WT-A04 Brown Circle Lenses

Hello darlings! I’m here with another circle lens review for you! ヽ(=^・ω・^=)丿

Today I’ll be reviewing GEO WT-A04 brown lenses. These lenses are from Mukuchu!

The WT-A04 lenses are a warm chocolate brown colour. They are 15.0mm in diameter! They also have little triangle patterns to draw attention to the middle of the eye.
These lenses only come in 0.00 (Plano). They have a shelf like of up to 3 years, and have a base curve of 8.6mm. These lenses were quite comfortable, minor dryness issues were quickly fixed with some eyedrops. They have a water content of 38%~
This is what the lens looks like on my eye! As you can see, the brown colour isn’t very opaque, you can see the ring of my own eye colour showing through underneath. I think that these lenses are more suited for eye colour enhancement than eye-colour changing. They blend in very well with my light brown eyes.(=´∇`=)
Size comparison! As you can see, these 15mm lenses definitely enlarge my regular eye size for an extra dolly look~
Picture taken in natural daylight. As you can see, the blending and enlargement are great! The patterns are light/subtle and not very noticeable.
Blurry blurry, was having redness issues because I have a case of the sniffles :B Looked a bit like rudolph lol!
Later that night I took some pictures with the lenses on in artificial light (lamp).
I don’t think it’s showing up very well, but I also tried contouring my face in these photos! I contoured my face and nose. Just experimenting though since I’ve never really tried contouring before… (=^・ェ・^=)
Now, how do these lenses compare to other brown lenses? I have compared them here to GEO’s Cafe Latte lenses, aka my favourite lenses of all time <3. As you can see, both have very nice patterns and similar outer rings. Latte has a lighter brown ring and WT-A04 has a black ring. WT-A04’s colour blends more and covers a greater part of the eye than latte’s design! I think that Latte suits my eye colour more, but WT-A04 is great for those with darker brown eyes!
Both are great for cosplaying, or helping to achieve a dolly-eyed look! 〜(^∇^〜)

You can get WT-A04 lenses from! Or you can click here!  WT-A04 lenses are sold for $20/pair, or buy 3 pairs of GEO lenses, get one pair free!

Thank you for reading~ ┗(^0^)┓

Recent Beauty GETS

A large well known drug store chain called ‘Shoppers Drug Mart’ was having a huge sale on cosmetics and hair products, so I picked up some things!

PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE INVESTED IN SO FAR. Generally used BB cream instead of concealer but found that it didn’t go on thick without looking cakey. Bought some Rimmel Match Perfection concealer in classic beige to hide the dark circles that have taken up residence under my eyes.

It blends really well and lasts all day! I love it so far! The applicator is brush tip and the formula goes from liquid into a silky-moussey type liquid when applied.

One of the things I’ve started doing lately is doing my nails nicely. I dress like a bum most of the time for my morning classes, so I figured I may as well have pretty nails! :> When you apply this over the top of your nails, it makes the polish dry quicker while adding a protective topcoat.
My hair has felt pretty dry lately, so I decided to try out this hair masque! Never really tried them out before… Basically after shampooing you apply it all over your hair (concentrating on the ends) and leave it for about 2 minutes then rise off!
My hair felt super silky and nice after… It also smelled really good! The masque itself has a floral-honey smell, it’s quite nice.
Dollarama was selling ELF brushes for $1.50, decided to pick some up for my powder :>
That’s it for now, see you lovelies later~

[REVIEW] DollyEye BarbieDoll Grey Circle Lenses + Rimmel Lash Flirt Mascara

Hello everyone!

I know I seem to be a bit slow on posts lately, please forgive me!  I know somebody asked me to write a post on university life here so I’ll try to have that up as soon as possible. For now, I’ll try to do some shorter update posts or review posts!

Today I’ll be reviewing two products – a pair of circle lenses and some mascara!

I got a pair of grey lenses from! Specifically, the ‘Dolly Eye BarbieDoll Grey lenses‘.
They sell for $17.90 USD which is pretty cheap for lenses! Uniqso sells different lens brands that aren’t as well know, but there are still some super awesome designs!

UNIQSO:Dolly Eye Barbiedoll Grey
The image on the website shows the lenses t have a tornado design! I think this is very striking, and has a very nice design. Take into consideration that the lenses are on a model with blue eyes, hence the blending looks better.

Here is what the lenses looked like in the case. The arrived in a small cute box and the vials were wrapped in bubble wrap!

The lenses themselves are 14mm and have a water content of  42%! These lenses did not dry out after 6 hours of wear! They feature a tornado/swirly design.

First picture is without circle lenses, and the second picture is with the lens in! As you can see, they enlarge quite a bit despite being only 14mm!

This is what the lenses look like on my eyes! The lenses don’t blend very well into my natural eye colour because they are brown, but I still think they look quite nice!

Had to throw out my old mascaras (Maybelline Colossal Volume and Lash Stiletto) since I’ve had them for a while. I decided to pick up a new one today! I remember Sami saying something about Glam Eyes mascara being good so I decided to check it out! I was looking for length opposed to volume since my eyelashes are a bit short! This mascara promises length and blacker pigments.
I didn’t put any mascara in the front part of my eyelashes to show my natural lash length. It actually worked really well to extend my lash length!
Mascara and circle lenses!
I definitely recommend both of these! The lenses are suitable for cosplay (I use the grey lenses for my Mio cosplay)! They’re more of a darker grey – if you want a lighter grey lens, you might want to go with GEO Nudy Grey or EOS Pure Grey!
Finally, I will leave you with a picture that was taken at yesterday’s cosplay event! I cosplayed Akiyama Mio, uniform version. The lovely Joanna (AKA the cute Utane Piko cosplayer from Fan Expo) made the guitars for us! So talented! She even gave me the bass because she’s going back to Indonesia soon (she’s an exchange student)! She’s such a super talented cosplayer, I wish one day I’ll be able to be at her level! I’ll be make sure to take lots of pictures with it when I do my future Mio cosplays! <3
I’ll upload more of the photoshoot pictures when I get them!

Sapphire Blue Circle Lenses (review)

Got this beautiful pair of lenses from Mukuchu (at the beginning of July… sorry for the long wait! ;_;)
My old pair of animation blue lenses expired so I was ready for a new pair of lenses, but less ‘fake’ looking that the animation series. ≧(´▽`)≦

Big Crystal Sapphire (G-307)

The lenses are 14.5 mm. I think this is a pretty good size for lenses if you want them to slightly enlarge your eyes without making them look alien, but still have a pretty colour!

The colour itself is a bright sapphire blue that fades to a hazel – gold brown in the middle. The rims are a fuzzy black-brown which doesn’t make the eyes stand out as much as lenses that have a solid outer ring. ヽ(゚◇゚ )ノ

The design itself is very pixelated, but this helps the colour to blend in and look more natural from afar.
How it looks on the naked eye! I like how the gold in the centre of the ring.

Both eyes! I love the look, it blends in very well and they don’t look alien/huge! ( ̄∇ ̄+)
However, I think I like my natural hair colour/blue eyes combo better. Plus I’m not wearing as much makeup, so it feels more natural!
Mukuchu was very quick to reply to my messages. Shipping took 3 weeks I think, which is understandable because they were shipping from Australia. It was wrapped in bubble-wrap and came with a lens case. I highly recommend their store if you’re looking for lenses, because they’re very well priced and they carry a huge array of lenses! (`・ω・´)ゞ
These lenses are super comfortable! They didn’t dry out easily and I could wear them for 6 hours! Couldn’t feel the lens at all! (These are EOS so that explains it haha!~) (・∀・)/
Hope you enjoyed it! Definitely recommend these for people who’d like blue lenses~

New beauty gets + Tokushima~

I’ll be writing a series of scheduled posts for you for the upcoming week because I’ll be super busy finishing up my cosplay stuff! So much left to do before Fan Expo…. but I have a feeling it’s going to be a very very fun convention! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ

Recently got some new cosmetics in the mail that I ordered from eBay!

Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek  in Peach (about $19.50, shipping  to Canada included.)

I saw Jenny raving about this on her blog! I was curious about it so I decided to order it myself!
It’s funny, I won’t spend lots of money on western makeup brands but shell out my dollars for pretty Asian cosmetic brands…. orz

I never really used my Naris Chou Chou pink blush because it’s too bright for my tastes, only use it for cosplay, so I’ve been on the lookout for a “wearable” blush. (。・ε・。) Peach seemed to be a pretty subtle shade but can still give a nice colour, so I ordered it!

Super satisfied with this purchase! The peach blends in really well with my skin and gives me cheeks a ‘healthy’ peachy blush. I don’t really mind spending extra on a blush that looks nice!

Next, TonyMoly Mini Lip Tint in Cherry Pink $4.37 (shipping included)

This is actually quite expensive for a little bottle of lip tint… the bottle is so small! Probably the size of a loonie haha… I was interested in trying out some TonyMoly products after my friend got some! She was raving about them so naturally I was super curious and had to get some myself. ( ̄▽ ̄)=3

Sorry, no swatches for you guys at the moment… but the tint is really nice! Pretty long lasting and left a nice cherry tint on my lips! You could hardly feel it! The tint has a bit of a chemically taste if it goes in your mouth when it’s wet, but the taste fades away as soon as the tint dries. (・∀・)
Skinfood Nail Vita in Cappuccino Goldabout $5.70, shipping to Canada included.
(Sorry for the messy nails, pic was taken a few moments after they were painted! Couldn’t wait, haha!)
For some reason this summer I’ve been crazy about gold, browns, and cream colours! I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a gold-brown colour and this one is perfect! With a good top-coat, it’s pretty long lasting.
LOVE the colour so much! ♪(*^ _^)ノ⌒☆
Those are all of my recent beauty gets for the moment, I’m preparing a “what’s in my makeup bag” post for later this week!
Finally, I’ll leave you this pic of a postcard my Japanese penpal sent me! Her name is Masae and we’ve exchanged a few letters, she’s such a sweet girl! She sent me pics of her and her friend doing purikura, so cute! (σ・∀・)σ She wrote to me about her recent vacation to Kyoto and said she’ll send me pictures soon, so I’m super excited for that~

[Review] Lioele Dollish BB Cream + Picture Spam

Hello everybody! ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

I’m here with a review post~ I’ll be reviewing two items!

The first is from This is the BB cream I mentioned in this post! Please check it out if you haven’t already~! All the store details are in that post!

So, here’s the third item that arrived in the package! Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream in Green!

You’re probably thinking…Green? Haha I was like that at first! The BB cream comes out of the bottle as a white cream with a green tint. When you rub it on your face, the colour fades to a natural beige! The green colour is supposed to help conceal redness.  (°∀°)b  My face tends to have red spots so I was really enthusiastic to try this out.

This was before I put falsies on haha… they really do make such a big difference! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ

The BB cream has a sweet but light floral scent, similar to the Lioele powder compact! (the one with the princessy-pink case). It’s quite nice! (´0ノ`*) The cream itself has a light-medium coverage consistency, so you can wear it without feeling like its too heavy on your face. It’s goes on a bit shiny, so it works best if you set it with powder! This cream is specifically for oily-combination type skin. This is a wonderful BB cream, definitely recommend it! о(ж>▽<)y ☆

Here’s the link for those who are interested, it sells for $22 on, which is a little cheaper than what you’d pay for most Skin79 BB Creams.

Here’s the look I created~! I tried basing my look on a tutorial in an old issue of popteen… ヽ(゚◇゚ )ノ Lioele products have most definitely won me over! So I highly recommend it for people who want cosmetic products that work well, smell nice, and have beautiful packaging!

Didn’t use bottom lashes because they looked really weird on me. Also wearing the wig for my Meiko cosplay! I really love how I look with this short hair, but it saddens me that if I cut my hair short it wouldn’t look like this. My bangs frame my face instead of growing forward and swooping across… 。(´д`lll)

I’m still a beginner with eyelashes so you can see some of the glue… I wouldn’t wear lashes every day though, only for special events. I think using Falsies mascara will get you as close to the falsies look without falsies. (´・ω・`)

Products used:

GEO Cafe Latte 15mm circle lenses. (ahh favourite lenses EVER~)
L’Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner – Black
White shimmer eyeshadow pencil (can’t remember the brand)
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Sana Shadow Liner – Black
False eyelashes from ebay! (I used the more natural pair here, and use the more dramatic pair for cosplay).

Lioele Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream
Lioele Sun Elastic Powder Pact #21 – Nude Beige.
Lioele Dollish Triple Eyeshadow #8 – Bronze Brown
NYC Color Wheel Mosiac – Transulent Highlighter Glow (tried contouring my face for the first time)
…Also couldn’t find my blush, it was in the bottom of my makeup case ):

Guerlain KissKiss Gloss – 864 (Had this for a year but never realized it was Guerlain… what a pleasant surprise! :D)

Super picture spam under the cut!

I’m actually really proud of how I did my makeup today haha! This is most likely how I’ll do my makeup for my Meiko cosplay~! So if anybody happens to be going to Fan Expo this year, look out for me! (and compliment me on my makeup skills ohohoh /shot (ノω・、) )

My cat is going through this weird phase where she likes to chew on the end of her tail… Must be a kitten think? It’s weird, she sat on top of me and made me hold her tail so she could lick it. (*^ー^)ノ

Honestly these Cafe Latte lenses make my eyes look moe-huge. Not that alien I think… I want to own all of the Cafe Series! Designs are delicious ♥

Myspace anglez~ Got these frames in Quebec’s F21 but they broke ): You can see the crack (my right/ your left) frame. ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I really really like this look! But I think that I’ve been looking through Popteen too much because I’m doing the duck-lips thing in so many of my photos….. Σ Σ Σ(゚д゚;) I’ll try to fix that for next time!

Thanks for reading~ Let me know if you guys want reviews on any of the products used / questions or tutorials or whatever. (ノ゚ο゚)ノ (This is supposed to be a life/cosplay blog but it’s slowly becoming more of a makeup blog! Is that okay? Hehe! I’ll blog more about my Meiko cosplay soon.)

P.S. Ringo is coming over tomorrow for the weekend and we’re going to hang out with Jeanie! Then on Saturday we’re going to Sami‘s house to work on her STRength cosplay…dem arms!

Pretty Makeup ♥ and Meiko Progress~

Hello everybody! ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

(in case you’re wondering, no I did not cut my hair! This is progress for my Meiko wig, which you’ll see at the end of the post. (°∀°)b )

So guess what arrived in the mail the other day? My stuff from! Super excited to receive these products because they looked really good on the website!

I’ll be reviewing two of the things I received today!

{ { Before I start, is an online cosmetics shop based in BC, Canada. Shipping took about a week and a half because of the postal strike to arrive in Toronto, and the items were sent through expedited mail with a tracking number. Items arrived in a bubblewrap padded envelope! } }

First thing I will be reviewing is this base powder~ Lioele Sun Elastic Powder Pact #21 – Nude Beige.

Product description:

I really like my base makeup haha! I think a good base helps to make the skin look beautiful and pure~ ヘ(゚∀゚*)ノ  So this pact immediately appealed to me. (This powder and my Kiss Me Heroine powder, which I will review later, are my favourite things ever ♥)
Beautiful pink packaging!
Isn’t this cute? The packaging for this definitely reminds me of a princessy theme! ♥ ~ (´0ノ`*) Despite being a little chunky compared to other powder cases, it makes up for being super super cute!
The inside of the pact. It has a mirror, as well as a super soft puff pad thing. Like, it’s supersupersuper soft, almost as soft as my Kiss Me Heroine powder pad!
Lift up the pad and you’ll see that there is a pad separator! I love this feature, keeps the powder set and makes sure the powder doesn’t go loose everywhere! (*^ー^)ノ
The powder has great coverage! I was able to just use this powder and it covered up redness on my face due to the heat. It also has a medium strength floral scent which lasts for a few minutes and then fades away. I found it to be quite pleasant because I’d suddenly catch whiffs of a nice floral scent suddenly!  (・∀・)/
It also gives you a matte finish, works great if your face gets a little oily/sweaty so you can just use a bit and the shine is gone! It also brightens your complexion.
You can find the product HERE.  All the reviews done so far are really high, I’d give this 5/5!  (☆。☆)
Here I’m wearing the powder, my GEO Cafe Latte circle lenses (my new favourites!) and the copper eye shadow which I will be reviewing next! ヘ(゚∀゚*)ノ

More pictures + review under the cut!

Next product, the Lioele Dollish Triple Eyeshadow #8 – Bronze Brown

I was looking for a new type of brown shade eyeshadow because the current NewYorkColour one I was using was crap. \(*`∧´)/ The colours of this trio are really great!
Eye shadow came in this little metallic pink case, also very princessy like the powder pact!
There is a mirror and a clear eye shadow brush holder thing. Love this feature, as it keeps the two parts separate!
The colours included are a white creamy colour, a copper-bronze, and a dark brown. The colours compliment each other very well! Also highly pigmented, colour comes across being vibrant!
Swatch on my wrist.
How it looks on my eye! I don’t wear much mascara in the summer, that’s why my lashes look short haha. (^▽^;)
Sorry for the derpy facial expression, here’s how it looks on my eyes!
I didn’t use much of the dark brown, mainly the cream and the copper.
Covered my lid with copper, then cream from the inner corner to the middle.
I think the brown eyeshadow goes well with the brown lenses! Definitely going to wear this makeup for my Meiko cosplay~!
I definitely recommend it – with eye primer these colours would look even better!
I give this a 5/5!
I’ll be reviewing the BB cream that I got later on, so please look forward to that!
Finally, some pictures of my Meiko cosplay progress.
It’s not much progress really, I just cut my wig! It was fairly long last time, so I cut it shorter to match Meiko’s hairstyle. ( ゚ ▽ ゚ 😉
I don’t have many photos at the moment, so I’ll just leave you with this one! For some reason, my camera has randomly been taking green/yellow pictures! (iДi)I think it’s broken, gotta buy a new one soon.

[Review] Cafe Latte circle lenses!

Hello darlings~

Is it hot where you are? Right now it’s about 40°C (100°F) in Toronto right now…sweltering hot! (。>0<。) Worst part is that we don’t have any air conditioning – it broke last year and my dad is too cheap to get it fixed….orz

Anyway I went to the mall to take advantage of their AC, was originally going to watch Horrible Bosses but my free movie ticket was only valid for a theater chain which was across the street. I’ll go watch Xmen there tomorrow because Horrible Bosses isn’t playing!

The highlight of my morning was probably when my Cafe Latte lenses arrived! ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ I got them from They are a online circle lens store that sells a huge range of lenses, and they’re based in Malaysia. Shipping took a week, which is pretty fast, taken to consideration as Canada Post is still suffering a backup of packages that still need to be delivered. About a month ago Canada Post went on strike and no mail was being delivered, so they’re still in the process of delivering all of the packages. If there wasn’t this backup, I bet these lenses would’ve arrived even faster! (TωT)

Lenses arrived wrapped in bubble wrap! I think this is great, as it protects the bottles and makes sure that they don’t get damaged during arrival. ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ
The lenses did not come with a lens case though, so make sure you have one handy! Luckily I had extras.

Authentic GEO lenses sticker on the side of the bottle. You can go on the GEO website and put in the code to make sure they’re real GEO lenses! Which they are, haha~ (^人^)

Here are the details about the lenses!
Name: Cafe Latte – part of the Princess Mimi or Bambi lenses created by Tsubasa Masuwaka!
Brand: GEO
Size: 15mm
Water Content: 38%
Usage: 1 year
Cost: 14.90 SGD for one lens. This is about $11.60 CAD. It seems confusing but the price is for one lens only, you need to buy two. Therefore the cost is about $23.20, which is still a good price for the lenses! (*゜▽゜ノノ゛☆

This is what the lens looks like in the solution!
I love the latte designs! Instantly knew I had to have these lenses, despite them being 15mm (which I think makes me look kind of alien haha.)

This is a breakdown of the colours. (I realize the right lens is inside out, it’s to give to an idea of what they look like from the front.) ☆(^ε^)

Cafe Latte lenses are 15mm lenses. The base is a light gold-brown. There are flecks of a gold colour, with darker brown flecks. Mimics a latte design.

Yum yum latte!

Now, here’s a close up of the lenses being worn.

No makeup being worn. The lenses look big on my eyes. In my opinion, they blend in really well with my eye colour! makes them a lighter brown but then fades naturally into my natural eye colour. (°∀°)b

More pics / review after the cut!

Here is an even bigger close up! (Sob I basically have no bottom eye lashes ;^;)
The latte designs are visible up close, but look more natural from afar. (´0ノ`*)

Here’s a picture of how it looks on me with light makeup! I look a bit discoloured in the pictures haha, it’s because it’s so hot that my face goes red, and I covered it up with Kiss Me Heroine Smooth Cover powder! So I look a bit pink and a bit yellow in different places, sorry! (/TДT)/
But whatever, I’m happy to say the lenses don’t look alien on me! (´・ω・`)

It looks like I have naturally large brown eyes! The enlargement is great! ( ゚ ▽ ゚ 😉  I wonder if people actually have massive eyes like this in real life….

Design: 5/5 – looks like a latte! 😀
Enlargement: 5/5  – They are 15mm lenses that don’t make you look alien! They look like you have naturally large eyes.
Colour: 5/5 Lenses are perfect colour, blend in super well with my natural eye colour, as well as adding a light gold-brown tinge!
Comfort: 4/5 – GEO lenses tend to dry my eyes out quite quickly, but eye drops fix that problem!

These lenses are amazing, probably one of my favourites. (/〃∇〃) I think I’ll wear these for my Meiko cosplay at Fan Expo. (I’ve seen different versions of Synchronicity done with both red and brown lenses, so I think I’ll wear these brown ones because they’re so nice!)

Please make sure to check out Circlelens2u if you want to get these lenses! You can CLICK HERE or click the banner in the side bar~ ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

Hello darlings~

I’ve been meaning to post these reviews for a while now, but the hot summer weather got the best of me and make me procrastinate too much! (。・ε・。)

The two BB creams that I will be reviewing are:
– Skin79 Oriental Gold BB Cream
– Skin79 Super BB Cream + Triple Functions

For those of you who don’t know what BB cream is:
“It is said that the formula comes from Germany where dermatologists prescribe it to heal laser skin surgery because it has soothing and skin-regenerating properties. Famous South Korean actresses then began using it for beauty purposes and since Asian dramas are huge all over, a craze was born. The trend that started in Korea first spread to Japan then to South East Asia and is now quickly making its way to Europe and the USA.”  – Squidoo

Basically, it’s a type of base makeup that is lighter than foundation, but also has magic in it that makes your skin ‘better’.

After I started using it, I decided that I love BB cream! (-^□^-) The makeup at the drug store never really suited my skin colour – it was either too pale or two orange! BB cream shades suit my skin very well.

The first is Skin79’s Oriental Gold BB Cream. I bought it from this ebay seller, who sells genuine products. Watch out when you buy BB cream online because there are lots of fakes! So it’s best to buy from a trusted seller like Bellogirl

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this BB cream, but I love it! It’s a bit of a heavier BB cream – great coverage and layerable if you have red spots. (°∀°)b  No need to use too much though because it can get cakey pretty fast. It gives you a dewy look, which isn’t always what people want. Coverage lasts for a pretty good time – it looks great for about 3-4 hours, after that you might have to touch up with some powder.

Also comes with a lip/cheek tint, which I don’t use. The colour is a bit bright on my lips/cheeks, but it’s great for people who like the bright look I guess! Not really my thing haha. (ノω・、)

Second BB Cream is Skin79’s Super BB Cream + Triple Function. It’s supposed to offer the effects of whitening, wrinkle improvement, and ultraviolet rays interception. I bought this in an Asian beauty store in Quebec, but you can easily find this online. Again, make sure the seller is legit. (・・ ;)

This is a comparison of the different pumps! Oriental Gold has a pump that makes the cream come up from the centre. It’s good for if you put too much pressure on a too much cream comes out, you can easily just smear bits onto your face a bit at a time. However it’s less sanitary – you need to make sure you constantly clean the top.
Super BB cream has an opening that opens off to the side. More sanitary, but if you push too hard and get too much cream, you’re awkwardly stuck there with too much cream on your finger LOL.

I actually like Oriental Gold’s pump more, probably because I’m more used to it haha.

Here’s the comparison on my wrist! These BB cream shades suit my skin so much more than regular foundation!

They both also blend perfectly! ヽ(*’0’*)ツ

Overall, I love BB Cream. It’s light and covers well, and it doesn’t feel too cakey or heavy on my face!
If you have any questions, leave them in the comment box and I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ability 😀

[REVIEW] GEO Nudy Violet Circle Lenses + CHEAP LENSES!

Hi everyone!

I love how I’m able to blog more often now!

I bought a pair of circle lenses from ⊂( ・∀・) 彡━PANDA☆ 【Circle Lenses】
I’ve bought quite a few pairs from this place! It’s a facebook group shop that sells very affordable circle lenses.

They owner is closing down the shop though because I think she’s going to university next year, so she won’t have time to sell lenses. All lenses are super cheap! Currently, all GEO and EOS lenses are just $11/pair!  If you’ve bought lenses before, you’ll know that this is super affordable as most sites usually sell lenses for $20+! I’m not being sponsored to say this or anything, I just want to help out those who may be tight on cash and want to try out some cute lenses! This even includes the new BAMBI lenses!
Also great for people who live in the GTA/Mississauga as you are able to do facetrades to pick up your lenses.

For those of you who don’t know what circle lenses are, they’re a type of cosmetic colour contact lens that are supposed to make your eyes look bigger. They’re very popular in China/Japan/Korea, and they are often used in gyaru fashions as well as cosplay! I mostly use mine for cosplay purposes.

Anyway, I ordered (another) pair of GEO Nudy Violet.
I had a pair of these last year, which I thought I forgot at my Anime North hotel room! Turns out that I just left them in my suitcase and discovered them while packing for Anime North this year haha…. Anyway I ordered another pair because they’re awesome.

They’re probably my second favourite lenses! (My favourites are my EOS Pure Gray lenses, which I wear for my Akiyama Mio cosplays!)

If you’ve read my GEO Nudy Green lenses review, you’ll know how much I love the Nudy series!
Nudys give off the “natural” look as they blend in well with your actual eye colour. They give a cute glittery effect.

This is a close up of the lenses. The outer ring isn’t as dark or prominent as other lenses, which makes them look more “natural.”
On the eye – natural light.
(I didn’t notice my eyeliner was smudged! Baww ;A;)
This is closer to the colour they appear in real life.
SO MANY EYES! This is so you can see how they look in different angles.
I like the violet lenses much more than the green ones because I think violet suits me better?
Basically, I’m going to copy and paste the review from the Nudy Green lenses here! (Because I have the exact same opinions haha)
Design: 10/10
LOVE LOVE LOVE the design of these!
Despite not having a dark limbal/ outer ring, these do stand out quite well. The blendy design also appears a lot to me.
Comfort: 9/10
At times my eyes would feel dry, but with an eyedrop that problem was solved.
I basically almost forgot I had lenses in, haha!
Enlargement: 8/10
Enlargement isn’t really a big concern for me, because I’m more interested in the colour! Besides, super huge lenses make me feel like an alien… That’s why 14mm lenses are my favourite size. If you’re looking for enlargement, I’d recommend the 14.5mm super nudies or 15mm lenses because I heard those are quite good!

Hope you enjoyed this review! 😀
Also, any requests for new types of posts? Like anime reviews, more life blogs, tutorials..etc?

Nudy Green Circle Lens Review + camwhore spam~

Hello darlings~

(My favourite hostess blog, where I get all my emotes from, posted some really weird ones! So be prepared for some weird emote spam )

I’ll be reviewing a pair of lenses sent to me by!
They are an shop based in the UK. Shipping was super fast! It took I think 8 days to arrive~ Probably the speediest place I’ve received lenses from.
The package was padded (very important, so the lens bottles don’t break) had a very cute card inside with pictures of Kipi, advertising the store! Very cute!
I also received a lens case~

I chose to review Nudy Green (CH-623). I’ve actually owned these lenses before! The first type of circle lenses that I owned were Nudy Greens, but I didn’t wear them that often because I wasn’t…used to circle lenses? So they ended up drying out and tearing.

Nudy Series is a fashion leader with the unique effect of shimmery and mysterious sparkling eye effect.
● Base Curve 8.6

● Diameter 14.0mm
● Water % of Content: 42%
● Lens Type: 1 year disposable
● Manufacturer: GEO Medical

Before showing pictures, I should let you know that I love the Nudy series! They are popular for a reason, and that’s because they’re amazing! I find the colour to be noticeable, yet blends really well and doesn’t look fake.

Kipi swears by these lenses, so they are very popular amongst cosplayers.  You can achieve a sparkling-eye look without having very bright colors.
The colour coverage is also great!

(Yoinked this picture off this blog because I forgot to take a picture before. But this is basically what they look like.)
I tried out a new eye makeup look. It looks a bit strange, not sure if I’ll do it again.  But I like the pink! I think it goes well with the green lenses.

Whoa, scary eyes!
Wearing the Nudy Green lenses!
Despite being only 14mm lenses, they do enlarge quite a bit.
Hurr hurr hurr
I love these lenses!
The green blends in nicely with my eyes, despite being brown!
Artsy kiss kiss picture!
If you’re looking for enlargement, I’d recommend the 14.5mm super nudies, because I heard those are quite good!
